At the time of this writing, this sells for $3.49 which I think is just the sweet spot. The cones are nice and does not drip . The multiple colored straws are similar to the one used on Slurpees with a flattened end to scoop ice. Cones are strong enough as long as you do not poke it hard with the straws.

I realized after I placed this order that the shipping fee was more than the purchase price. The item was listed for $4.99 and after I placed the order, the shipping was listed as $6.99. It was difficult to find the instructions to cancel the order and when I finally found the link (the same day), I did not get a response. After I sent a second e-mail, the vendor contacted me to tell me that it was "too late"...the product (conveniently) was shipped. I plan to refuse the package, however, BUYER BEWARE OF SHIPPING COSTS BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER WITH THE MENDING SHED. Amazon lists shipping in tiny little numbers next to the items' cost for most vendors, I think, so pull out your magnifying glass when shopping online!

This Ice Shaver is the best thing thats ever happened to us when it comes to making Margaritas. This thing grinds ice for the rim of the cup very easy, the only work you have to do is push down. Now, I used to grind and push down so it was a lot of work but now, pushing down is all. Highly recommended for the price

I love this! It works well, crushes ice just fine and small enough where I don't mind keeping it on the counter so I have a smoothie whenever I want rather than being too lazy to take out the blender!

The Hamilton Beach Ice Shaver is faster and quiter than other models I have used. It holds one standard ice cube tray of cubes in the hopper, turn it on and in about 30 to 40 seconds you have shaved ice. Being able to use cubes directly from the freezer is a big plus since we make ice at least twice a day. Frankly I can't tell much difference between the slushy and snow cone setting the snow cone setting seems to produce slightly larger flakes of ice than the slushy setting. My other half prefers the slushy setting he says it takes slighly longer for the slushy bits to melt in the mouth. Over all very satisfied with the ice shaver.
