A really excellent collection of some of Joe Cocker's best works including the best cover song ever; "With a Little Help from Me Friends", and also the later "Unchain My Heart" another great power vocal from Joe. I only wish that they had included "Hitchcock Railway", a great early Cocker Rocker that was always one of my favorites. All in all though a great retrospective of the eclectic Joe Cocker!!

Listening to this new CD takes me back to the "rocker" days of my youth. I loved it and often put it in a 6 CD rotation with Delbert, Willie and Ray Charles!!!

I purchased this CD for the song with Corinne Bailey Rae, but I got so much more. Al Green had songs with Anthony Hamilton and John Legend as well. I don't think I would call this classic Al Green,(though some of the beats reminded me of some of his former songs),but I believe Mr. Green has put his signature on today's music. I absolutely love this CD-I play it almost every day. Of course, most of the songs are love songs, with the kind of words women want to hear. This is a "sittin' on the back porch, in the evening, with a glass of lemonaid", CD.

If you don't know Emmylou Harris at all, buy anything she's ever done. The worst that you'll get is really good. This album is lovely, if low-key and sad. There is a strain of American music - the only authentic strain aside from Afro-American - embodied in country, folk and some rock based on the former two that is heart-piercing, but absolutely lovely. And Emmylou Harris - who defies labels - does it best of all (though her version of "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" - elsewhere - rocks with a kind of tough cynicism that the Broadway showtune never had.) I've seen her up close in a small concert and she is the very epitome of grace, modesty and beauty. Willie's collaborations don't always appeal to me, but this one does. It's a great blend of musicians, and a joy to listen to. A real hit.

Kind of like wildflowers, but with a 70's sound. YEP!! 70's sound. I really think though, tom petty should stick to the HEART-BREAKERS and a new CD. AS WELL AS A GR. HITS #2. We need more albums with those GUYS. There getting old, don't waste there time , not makeing new albums. ALSO : To TOM PETTY.....Make a remake of the song " BROWN EYED GIRL ( Van-morrison ) ".............And put it on your next album...THAT SONG FITS YOUR STYLE and it would sound awsome with your voise.....REALLY.

I AM one of those people who look forward to Taylor's new releases. But this one just didn't do it for me. He's done a great job with covers over the years, but with the exception on one track on this release, I thought he just didn't bring anything new to these.

I bought it for the song Mercy, after listening to it, all the songs on the CD are good. Well worth the purchase.
