The two DVD's in this package are both excellent. The format of the films is spot on in my opinion. The first disc has the 86 season and insights offered by Phil Simms, LT and Bill Parcells. The second has Parcells but with OJ Anderson and Carl Banks. All of them offer brilliant anecdotes about what it was like back in the day. There is footage from all of the important games too. A really well put together DVD from NFL Films.

There's plenty of superbowl coverage to make anyone who grew up in the 80's or 90's a happy camper. Also lot's of history dating back to the team's inception. Worth the amazon price. DEFINITELY worth the $12.99 I paid to amazon just before the holidays (what a difference a superbowl makes)

Though it's nice to "relive" the season as it comes,it wasn't as fantastic as I thought it would be. I would have appreciated a little more after the fact analysis and highlights (not to mention some hyperbolic statements of how great the Giants are!). But overall, ok product.

"A Team to Believe In" is written by Tom Coughlin and Brian Curtis and it chronicles the 2007 championship season for the New York Giants. The book begins with backstory on the incredibly difficult 2006 season and how Coughlin had to prove he was worth keeping in 2007. From there, the book describes the amazing journey the G-Men took in the 2007 season and the playoffs. Coughlin provides an inside look on what he needed to change, how his struggles in 2006 effected his family, and how he reconnected with his team. It's all very interesting and well-written. I found the opening chapter about 2006 quite interesting and it was fascinating to see how Coughlin dealt with the scrutiny and criticism. The worst film I've seen in a long time. Senseless violence, one-dimensional characters and outright racist portrayals of arabs. Robert Downey Jr. shows the emotional range of an earthworm. He wisecracks stone-faced throughout, although doesn't seem to care one way or the other what happens to him or anyone around him. The one opportunity for redemption falls flat, as there's no real change after the press conference. The romantic interest is forced and uncomfortable. You have to sit through two hours of tepid "build-up" before Iron Man actually battles a bad guy. Let's hope this is the last we see from this group.

Giant is an autobiography written by Plaxico Burress. This book is very interesting and takes the reader on a roller coaster ride through Burress's life. Plaxico let his readers feel the emotions he went through as a young kid when his mother passed away. This was the best part of the book because it makes the reader feel as if they are attending the funeral. Another great part of the book was just the insight to how football players live. Burress got a bad reputation playing college football because of all of the partying he did while he was supposed to be focused on getting into the NFL. Then the book takes a twist and shows the reader how Burress got focused on being one of the best receivers in the NFL.
