I cannot believe how many women actually like this movie. I found it insulting that the audience could believe that there exists a professional woman in NYC completely obsessed with everything that is shallow about weddings in such a way that she has time to attend/coordinate them and be so close to 27 brides that she gets asked to be in their wedding party. Not only is the romantic plot hard to believe, a man who has been so harshly cynical about weddings, and possibly marriage itself, falls for a woman that is marriage and wedding-crazy (because I guess men secretly adore women who are desperate to get married), but it also has the most ludicrous scenes between the "lovers"!

The worst scene, in my opinion, was the one where she tries all the dresses for him, complete with hair ... Read More

Disappointing, I'd say. Very good actors in a somewhat predicatble all too "feel good" film. We rented it - I wouldn't buy it. I'd give it 2 and a half stars if I could.

"Juno" grabs you from the start, walking down the street drinking a gallon of Sunny D.Ellen Page is so cool, thats the only word I can think of.I've know people in my life somewhat like her who just say whats on there mind.I wish I could have been like that.
Michael Cera has become such a huge star,I never thought after seeing him on "Arrested Development"I would hear from him again, even though I was a fan of the show, and its great to have Jason Bateman also in the movie who does a great job .
The ending is a big suprise.I thought I figured it out,but I didn't.
"Juno" is a film everyone will enjoy.

I was very disappointed with this movie. Did not care for it at all. Tired old treasure hunt movie and the dialogue was very poor.

Ryan Reynolds is one of my favorite actors so it always disappoints me when one of his films doesn't thrill me. This movie lacked plot and substance. There is a man who is going through a divorce and he is telling his young daughter about three women he dated around the time he met her mother. The little girl is supposed to guess which one by the descriptions ends up being her mother. I thought all of the actresses (with the exception of the little girl) lacked personality making it only tolerable to watch. "Definitely, Maybe" was okay but not worth buying before you have seen (like I tend to do). The previews show the film.

Too many Amazon reviewers give away too much detail and ruin the potential viewing experience for one and all who take the time to read their reviews. This is a movie for the inner child - drop all pretense of being adult and rational - just relax and enjoy this movie that was meant as a pleasant diversion. Every actor does a great job, the music is wonderful, the movie was beautifully filmed and the story is entirely plausible to all of us who "let our child out to play" while watching this very special movie.

In a very entertaining way, this movie manages to educate the viewer on America's first war in Afghanistan. Indeed, the historical/political treatment is not heavy handed, but makes this more than just an entertaining movie about a colorful Congressman (and he is colorful). If you like movies that have some historical connection, but want something that's still light enough to show just for entertainment value, this movie is perfect. And, of course, Tom Hanks does a great job.

This is a movie about how not to be in life. In fact the supporting character who reeks havoc in the movie, Briony, has got to be one of my least favorite people of all time.

That being said, this is a beautiful looking movie and started out as something I liked. As time goes on it degrades into something dark and depressing; which war often is. It is an interesting look into that era.

I watched this at a girls' movie night and the general consensus was that it was pretty boring. We decided it must be the surprise ending that got it all of the awards, that and the beautiful settings in the beginning of the movie. The ending convinced me that Briony is the most selfish, evil (yet not evil) character ever. That and in general the movie was just depressing.

I am glad I saw it, I would ... Read More
