This is my first time using a Mac,and I don't think I'll ever switch back to PCs again. I am only pissed that the price on Amazon is $200 cheaper. Perhaps price has come down in the past six months?

Cons: * Watch the fine print on the rebate - I sent mine in > 30 days later and the request was denied. Like Tiger before it, Leopard is worth every penny. Time machine works seamlessly (if you don't make the same mistake I did and use a LaCie drive for backup - it will fail sooner rather than later). Most new features are excellent. Unfortunately, the new X11 that ships with Leopard is badly messed up (at least when I installed it a while ago). Luckily, you can download the latest build from http://xquartz.macosforge.org is you need to use X11 professionally. Overall, Leopard is great and worth the upgrade!

If you have a Mac running OS 10.5.4 or 10.5.5 (or above) you should be aware that NONE of the Photoshop Elements software versions--including 6-- is compatible with it. It won't work.

I can't speak about the other programs, but "Pages" is a joke. It is a program for amateurs, not professionals. One example of its shortcomings is the following: if you want to cut or copy a body of text, and you have your heart set on the pasted text having the same font /font size / style, you have to pull down a special command called "Paste and match style." This is comical. Why didn't they make the cutting and pasting work properly in the first place? That's like saying "Here is your new dishwasher. It cleans beautifully, But if you want to turn it on, you'll have to push a special button in the back." Not to mention that if there is an underlined word in the text you cut or copied, the underlining won't come out in the pasted text. Apple has put professional writers in a bind. The Imac will ... I've had Parallels 3.0 for about a year now. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone. Not only does running my Win XP virtual machine constantly crash my MacBook Pro (I have to do a hard reboot), but I also frequently get out of virtual memory Monitor PE error messages. I have 4GB of RAM!!!! I have to reboot my MacBook and restart Parallels to get it going again. I emailed Parallels' tech support when I first got the product and NEVER heard back from them. Finally, various manufacturers' drivers CD auto installers will not run in Parallels. I had to manually load printer drivers, etc. I got so sick and tired of Paralles crashing that I finally tried VMWare Fusion 2 for the past couple of weeks and so far, so good. I've been able to use CDs' auto installers, and so far, I've had no errors ... Read More

I was able to set up this mouse in OS X 10.5 in less than a minute, and it simply works. I've had other bluetooth mice, but none have been reliable enough. This one works better than my corded mouse which it replaces. Outstanding.
