Seemed like an unlikely pairing when I first heard about this CD, but I like Alison Krause so I gave it a chance. Nice album that improves with repeated listening. Better to mix it with other music though because the chord structure is a little heavy if you just play the CD straight. Alison K's voice is unreal. With that high range, reminds me of a young Baez. Sister Rosetta, Trampled Rose, Gone Gone Gone, and others are really good music. Check it out.

When I recieved this I was a little disapointed because it came in a paperback case inside of the plastic but the cd was perfect.It was in perfect condition so it really didn"t matter it didn"t come in a plastic case.I highly recommend this item.

Listening to this new CD takes me back to the "rocker" days of my youth. I loved it and often put it in a 6 CD rotation with Delbert, Willie and Ray Charles!!!

Excellent mix of slow classic Young tunes with Crazy Horse type rockers. Nothing more to say.

If you don't know Emmylou Harris at all, buy anything she's ever done. The worst that you'll get is really good. This album is lovely, if low-key and sad. There is a strain of American music - the only authentic strain aside from Afro-American - embodied in country, folk and some rock based on the former two that is heart-piercing, but absolutely lovely. And Emmylou Harris - who defies labels - does it best of all (though her version of "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" - elsewhere - rocks with a kind of tough cynicism that the Broadway showtune never had.) This is the absolute worst CD I have ever encountered. It really seems like everyone forgot how good he was before, and just gave him credit for this disaster based on all the hype about it. People, this is not even close to a fair CD. There is a constant "drone" throughout this entire CD and there is not one good song on here. Every song sounds the same and like a depressed middle-aged man is singing the songs. Really listen to this one or borrow it before you spend the money on it. I would give him another chance, but this one sucked!

Unique music, unclassifiable, country but gospel and soulful as well. The musicians in his band are all so good that they could tour as headliners themselves.

Kind of like wildflowers, but with a 70's sound. YEP!! 70's sound. I really think though, tom petty should stick to the HEART-BREAKERS and a new CD. AS WELL AS A GR. HITS #2. We need more albums with those GUYS. There getting old, don't waste there time , not makeing new albums. ALSO : To TOM PETTY.....Make a remake of the song " BROWN EYED GIRL ( Van-morrison ) ".............And put it on your next album...THAT SONG FITS YOUR STYLE and it would sound awsome with your voise.....REALLY.
