No even the only battery, I have the grip and I buy one BP511 from canon and two from Ultralast. The one which came in the camera its dead after 7 months not even with a hard use. The other one, after 12months dead (I use that with my previous 30D) The ultralast batteries still working good. Just 15$ I pay last year for those, 1600mAh.

Any first time dSLR owner who chooses to upgrade to the EOS 40D should buy this book with their camera. I purchased this book with the camera about a month ago. This book does a great job of expanding on the information available in the owners manual. It is much easier to search and read, and the pictures make it much more useful. There is also a small bit of information that expands beyond the narrow focus of the camera. What I am referring to are the chapters regarding lenses and editing RAW files. These are two topics that I didn't see covered in the user's manual that are included with this book.

this memory card is a great performer: fast, secure, durable, and came at a great price from adorama via amazon. and an honest, reasonable shipping charge, to boot!

I don't have any problem with this flash, but I do have a problem with Amazon. It said that there is a fifty dollar coupon, so I assumed (incorrectly) that my price would the 370.00 less the coupon for 320.00 Low and behold I found out 370.00 was the price after the coupon. No one is selling this darned flash for 420.00. I wish flakey practices and gimmicks like this would stop. I'm really frustrated.

I just got back from Kenya where I was shooting photos for my work and also took a lot of personal photos while on a safari. This card was great! I didn't have any problems and never had to wait for the card to catch up to me. I took nearly 800 photos in RAW without having to fumble around swapping cards while bouncing along in the Maasai Mara. I highly recommend this card.

I am pleased with the battery grip. It makes it so much easier to shoot in portrate mode. Also not having to change the batteries for ever is a nice touch.

The back pack is good for me, I have 1 30D and 3 lenses, 18-85mm IS, 50mm1.4, 70-200mm 2.8L. It still has enough space for my incoming 5D_MarksII and a flash. It will be better if it can load a laptop.

Pro's: -Great DoF (f/1.8) -Great bokeh -Inexpensive Cons: -Plastic, unlike the mk1... I've heard it's very easy to break... If you drop it it's a goner -AF is noisy -Focusing ring is annoying Overall: Overall, I love this lens... It's great, especially for the price. If you can't take perfect care of your lens, save up for the mk1, which is about $300 more, made of metal, and is f/1.4. But if you want a great lens for a cheap price and are willing to take care and just be a bit extra careful, I'd recommend this beauty.

This is a very good filter. I had a B+W filter that broke when a friend dropped my camera. I decided to try this Canon filter and I am impressed by its performance.

This is an OK mid-quality filter. However, it will most likely somewhat degrade the quality of your picture. If you have a bargin lens, this is probably a good choice for a protection filter. However, if you have chosen a good quality lens, then this filter will most likely disappoint you with the quality of the pictures you take. A better choice is Hoya's professional line.
