I was forced to upgrade to 2008 or I would no longer be able to get payroll updates or email invoices. Despite paying each year for a payroll subscription on top of paying for the 2008 upgrade I did not need or want, I can not email invoices, can only print sometimes, and the payroll function malfunctioned and paid all of my employees their gross earnings without taking out any taxes. Was unable to get any support. They wanted to charge me to talk to someone even though it was their own product that was broken. I have lost thousands of dollars in unbillable time spent cleaning up their mess and now have to find another way to send my invoices. THIS COMPANY DESERVES TO GO BANKRUPT - THEY SUCK IN EVERY WAY.

Everything works great and would recommend quickbooks to any small-medium sized business. HOWEVER, emailing invoices, reports, etc seems to take FOREVER on any PC i have used it on. Hopefully that is remedied in 2009. Payroll is amazingly easy to use. Automatic updates, etc..

Soundtrack is warped and is very annoying...I would have sent it back but I needed the information as I am now responsible for doing the books for our company.

If you are setting up an LLC there is alot missing in this book that you will need. For example in the payroll section there is no real informaton on how to deal with members and their salaries and how that should be tracked. This is a very common situation that newbie business owners will have to deal with and I figured a "Dummies" book would have had a step by step instructions on how to do just that. Also the book was real chatty. The author spending lots and lots of paragraphs talking to you like you were his buddy over a beer. Most of those paragraphs were wasted ink and paper.

I moved from handwritten books to quick books, and am extremely impressed. Easy to use, the help option is very detailed and gives step by step direction. The only complaint would be help from customer service via telephone, they did not directly answer my questions and seemed more concerned about my Credit Card number then my issue.

I was notified that shipment would not be made for at least (2) weeks. I then emailed the vendor that originally the item was to be shipped within (7) days. The vendor received my email & was able to ship on time. Thank you.

This is a must have manual. I wish I had this 4 years ago while I was setting up my books.

I am the head of a small non-profit with one product, a DVD which came out in September. My accountant and I sat down with QuickBooks for non-profit, prepared to set up system that would work for our situation. She is an advisor for Intuit. Three hours later, we still couldn't make it run. The only NOnprofit feature is the title. It is completely based on an industrial model of inventory, labor, etc. I finally returned it and got a refund, but that didn't include what I paid the accountant (who gave me a break, but had to be paid for her time.)

When you're running a business from home, you need something that will allow you to include discounts and subtotals for your customers. This program says it does that... but it doesn't. From what I've seen.. it's false advertising and it just wants you to buy the next best thing. I wasted my money and I'll most likely never buy anything from Intuit again. I went through the annoying process of adding my company info... customers... and started making an invoice after adding a long number of items. And then I realized... NO SUBTOTAL. NO DISCOUNT option. I went to the help area.. searched for subtotal, discount, and coupon... Nothing. Then I went to the boards. Apparently it's offered in more expensive packages.
