This is decent tea, I would value the box at $20 but no more. Get it when it's cheap or on special and it's worth it but the tea isn't anything specail.

After reading the reviews, both positive and negative, I decided to give this a shot. After all, the gold box price made it almost silly not to try. Yes, the box is flimsy. While attractive, it is very easy to damage and not really suited for much of anything else, other than holding tea bags or small trinkets of some sort. But let's be honest here; you really don't buy a tea assortment for the box, do you? The tea: yes, this is what you buy it for, and the flavors, at least to my pallet, are wonderful. I will not pretend to be some expert at tea, but I do know what I like, and I very much enjoy a number of the flavors. I have had these teas before. And the presentation in a bamboo box, used in days of yore for preservation, this makes a very nice Christmas, or holiday gift.

I was a bit disappointed. The tea bags were not in foil pouches for freshness and the brewed tea did not taste fresh or flavorful. The box itself was not as nice as the one I bought for myself from a different company two years ago for the same price(these were gifts for my grown children). They were just OK and not worth more than the sale price I paid. I am used to being impressed with my Amazon gift purchases and while this was worth the money I was not impressed.

Works great for boiling water for Tea. Like many others said earlier, the lid does not open and shut smoothly. I had to boil and discard the water a few times before I started using the kettle as it has quite a strong smell of plastic initially. I like the detachable cord feature and the compact design of the kettle.

This tea chest is very pretty and I love the colors! It came on time and was filled with tea bags which I did not expect. It makes a nice gift!
