This was a horrible hassle. The minute I installed it, everything kept freezing up. I switched back to Trend Micro.

The software was quite an improvement over the previous version I had. The Amazon process for purchase and delivery went smooth. They delivered ahead of schedule. The only flaw was that 3 weeks later they dropped the price almost $20. Who knew?! I would have waited! Oh well!!

This product does not work with Vista or XL even though the packaging says it does. I had to call support and they had to download something to make it compatible with my pc and laptop. It was a very big hassle. I keep getting popup windows when I'm on the laptop that say that an Apple computer is trying to hook up. I'm not sure what this is all about. The good thing about it is Trend Micro found 28 viruses that Norton had not found.

Purchased 3-years of PC-Cillin with my Dell desktop. Useless and non-functioning (compliments the Dell quite nicely, actually). With two years of paid coverage remaining, I deleted this nightmare of a program entirely and went with Comcast's McAfee freebie.

I read the review at CNET and I purchased Kaspersky Internet Security software. The product was easy to install, it updates automatically, and it alerts me anytime that I run into a virus on the internet. I haven't had any problems with the product and I feel that it works great.

I thought this would be worth a try since it came included with Qwest DSL service, and reviews here seemed generally positive. It did not work well on my 7-year old system, though. After a couple weeks struggling with it, I finally was able to uninstall it. First of all, this requires a lot of RAM. My system was doing OK, but getting a bit low on RAM at 384 MB until I installed this. With Windows Live OneCare installed it wanted around 500 MB just to boot up--even while not running anything. So it was using Virtual Memory and paging like crazy, with the CPU pegged at 100%, even after I let it sit for hours, thinking it just needed to run an initial scan. I too was forced to upgrade to 2008 from quicken 2005 because they were discontinuing support of bank updates, etc. After 13 years with the software, I have never had a problem with an upgrade until now. There are bugs in the software that have caused my accounts from 2006 to be unreconciled (they were fine before the upgrade). Quicken ignored my first two contacts with support (I have them two months to respond each time). I finally sat for 90 minutes with a "chat consultant" who did not understand how Quicken worked. I am not sure what I can do now, they won't support their own product and I have to find something else and hope I can get all the data transferred. I would not recommend investing in Quicken if you are just starting, maybe Microsoft Money cares if customers ... Read More

Great product. Purchasing was easy and quick. Bought from a new vendor, but very pleased. If you buy Elements 6 there is a book called "Teach yourself visually" by Mike Wooldridge that is really simple to follow.

The computer runs considerably slower with the software installed but I guess that is what you have to put up with to have security.
