Don't get me wrong. I love this GPS. But the reason I bought the 760 was to get an MP3 player that supports SD cards. I'm tired of lugging around my expensive CD collection and wanted to leave the CD's at home and bring my music along on SD cards. For some unknown reason, MP3 players NEVER support external memory. All I can say is that I hope Garmin someday pays as much attention to the MP3 player as they did to the GPS, because the MP3 player is crap. Can you imagine a music player that insists on playing Sgt. Pepper in alphabetical order? Or if you say you want to hear some Beatles, it gives you a list of every song from every Beatle album, in ALPHABETICAL ORDER? When you change locations and Garmin is unaware of this, i.e. off during travel - it takes up to 5 minutes for it to discern its new location by locating a satellite. Whilst typing, do not always expect a tone to indicate you have entered a letter when typing an address, sometimes you will get a verification tone and sometimes you wont (if you type quickly you wont for subsequent letters). Small distances are usually inaccurate; e.g. Garmin will tell you 90 meters when in fact you have only 8 meters to go. Sometimes you are directed toward imaginary paths which have never existed.

If you have lost your case this is a good litle replacement as it is exactly like the one that comes with the garmin 370. I bought it not knowing what was included but I will keep it as a spare just in case.

I've extensively tested this on two long trips in unfamiliar territory. It worked flawlessly. Acquiring satellites has a lot to do with where you are. In the city it takes a bit longer. But I'm never in that much of a hurry. In both highway and rural situations, I felt you got a long enough verbal warning of an upcoming turn. I had several situations where I was with a "local" and they scoffed at the directions saying there were turns shown that didn't exist, but they did exist. Complaints? A few minor ones. It keeps track of all the places you've found and navigated to. You can clear them but it's all or nothing. I'd like to be able to select which ones I deleted. I've only had my 770 for a week, and its going back for a replacement. The audio instructions are sometimes so late that I miss the turn. I've been less than 2 car lengths from the intersection before the audio says "turn right on 32nd ave" and sometimes I'm half way through executing the turn before the audio instructions comes on. The way the audio work, I have to read the screen rather than rely on the audio, not something you want to do in traffic. The audio on my wifes Magellan works like I would expect a GPS to. I'm hoping I simply have a defective unit.

The product is good and it came in one day. It's small, which is convenient, and the detour option is very good. It also announces street names. Like Mapquest, local routes are not always the best and need to be ignored, but it's very good for places that are far and even directed us on an alternate route because it knew that a road was closed for bikes and pedestrians on Sunday.
