The product meets the technical requirements for organic certification ... but be under no allusions that the cows are frolicking about in fields (thankfully they at least aren't fed chopped up bits of other cows). Very important consideration for folks looking to do good ... the cartons are 100% NOT recyclable.

There is more sugar in this product per ounce than coca-cola. The same is true for the Vanilla version and I imagine the choc too. What is going on Horizon? Do you think parents don't read the small print? I am very disappointed in this brand and will not buy anything from it again.

My 2 year old loves this milk, drinking at least 1 per day for the past 2-3 weeks. He began having digestive issues and complaining of belly aches, so I googled the ingredient listed as carrageenan. It's a "natural" thickening agent used in soy milk and other organic products that causes many people to experience the same symptoms my son has experienced. In fact, many people who drink certain brands of soy milk containing carrageenan mistakenly attribute their digestive problems to the soy, when it's actually the carrageenan. after researching and finding out the dark side of soy, i switched over to rice dream rice milk (get original only, and dont get any milk substitute in these shelved containers- get em from the fridge section). the rice milk far better. rice dream --- vanilla silk taste: 5* --- 4* MSG: no --- yes (carageenan- bad!!) texture: thinner --- thicker color: ultra white --- off- white silk is great that its organic (one thing that rice dream doesnt have), but if you know your stuff, you know that up to 10% of the soy in organically labeled food can be genetically modified. for the record, i drank silk for at least 3 years and loved it... until i researched ... I guess I misread the ounces because I didn't realize that this is the small size. Somehow I thought it was a real bargain for the 18 ounce. My bad....it's not cost effective to purchase from Amazon and I dislike all the individual packaging which isn't recycleable. I will just get the largest size at the supermarket to save money and landfill

I've been buying the Clif Kid Zbars for a while now, and I never tire of them. They make a great breakfast on the go, a mid-morning snack, and taste great with that afternoon cup of coffee. My kids love them, and the variety pack ensures that you won't get tired of the same flavor. (My favorite is the chocolate brownie, and my son likes peanut butter best. It all works out.) They are relatively low in calories and have nutritional value. While on vacation, I kept these in my purse for snacks on the go. The Zbars kept us going!

This is a great product. We try to buy as much organic without all the chemicals and feel this is a safe product for baby skin. Amazon was the cheapest place to purchase and free shipping is great. Amazon shipped them to England (military) for our new grandson!!

i really like these bars with a cup of coffee or tea. great in between snack very filling. not real crazy about the choc chip but none the less a real satisfier and not dry tasting
