The Flowtron lamp doesn't work at all to get rid of the mosquitoes without these cartridges. They're great! Just make sure that you paste it so that the holes on the cartridge are exposed because my boyfriend did it the other way around and couldn't figure out why it didn't work until I got a closer look at it!

This product proved to be as effective as described. I couldn't believe how well it worked and how fast. Within 24 hours we were able to stop dousing ourselves with insect repellant and were just able to go outside in our wooded backyard and enjoy our patio, trampoline and other outdoor living space. I thought I was supposed to receive the "Lure" with swampmix that you soak up with water but all I got was a pheromone Lure that I touched with bare hands and it fell inside my shirt, no packet of swamp vegetation. That was a big mistake, the pheromone Lure attracted mosquitoes that tore me to pieces that night. I had to go to the hospital I was so badly bitten and I looked like I had rabies.

The only thing I would suggest this is for a customer who has an intense fly problem. If you have very few flies that get in the house throughout the day just get a fly swatter. This product wont work for just a few flies nor will it work unless its dark. The light will only attract flies at night and never during the eay unless you live in a cave.

I was hopeful based on other reviews that it would work. I had an issue with basic house flies that were getting in the house from outside. The racket uses 3 layers of screens, but this caused too much "wind" when trying to swat a fly out of the air. If you happen to hit one, the fly needs to touch two layers of screens at the same time to get zapped. Since the racket is well... a racket-- you can't swat-to-kill when they are sitting on the counter. You just trap the fly and hope it walks on the racket and touchs the two layers... and then ZAP! I bought two, since I knew my son would want to try when he saw me swatting... but they both broke. One just quit zapping, and with the other the plastic and layers started coming apart. I left this thing on for 3 weeks straight. I think I caught 4 mosquitos in that time period plus some lady bugs. I'm not sure if it's a LONG ISLAND MOSQUITO that doesn't care for the blue light but they just don't seem to be attracted to it. I was still getting bitten every time I went out (when I stood still) and I did not see a decrease in mosquito activity.
