The only way this could be better is if the kindle itself lit up from inside, but this is so neat, I can read in bed without leaving table lamp on and it's so convenient to switch on and off.

Since I travel extensively with my Kindle, I thought I should have a replacement battery. Unfortunately, the replacement does not seem to have as much stamina as the original. I recharge my Kindle once a week, and have had it for 7 months, but I when I use the replacement battery, I have to recharge every 4 days. Disappointing. The good news, however, is that the price is very good, so it won't break the bank to replace it often if needed.

Don't concern yourself with the plastic tab. And certainly forget all about velcro. Just place the K into the cover as seems intuitive, and then slip the attached elastic band down around the lower right corner. Voila, secure.

I find that companies that make proprietary chargers are creating waste at the expense of their secondary profit source. I have tried a small tip charger, as well as a generic usb connection in order to charge the device before investing in yet another charging device. It looks like the iGo is compatable as well as a knock off company sold on Amazon, but shame on Amazon for not building this feature into this $400 device. Onto having to spend money on yet another similar charger in order to read my books and keep adding to the pile of cords in my office.

This is a must have item. My Kindle goes everywhere with me, from the doctor's office, to the nail salon, plane, or just at home relaxing. Charging can sometimes be a problem, but with the power tip for the iGo, it is no problem at all. I use it a lot.

The kindle does not come with a car charger. I suggest this kit becasue Gomadic offeres two important qualities: 1) faster charging by offering more power. you get what you pay for, if the charger is cheaper this means they use cheaper electroncis and it will charge slower. with gomadic they offer higher amperage and a higher quility circuit. 2) lifetime warranty ... need I say more :)

VERY expensive and tip sold separately! That means you still have to buy the tip for an additional $10. In addition I had a hard time with the retractable system.

This is a great Kindle cover because it is very sturdy, and the Kindle does not fall out of it like the original cover they send with the Kindle. I do especially like this cover because it is genuine leather, and gives the Kindle a sleek, executive look to it. Also, on the inside cover it has slots for business cards, a pen, or storage for slips of paper/notes you may need with you. THIS is the cover they should've sent with the purchase of the Kindle.

This just feels better built than the cover amazon provides, and it definitely holds the kindle in better. The only complaint I have id trying to get to the on/off and wireless switches, but that is more amazon's fault than m-edge (for crappy placement). I found that putting the loop that supposed to go over the top right corner of the kindle over the back of the cover instead, it allows me easier access to those switches, and the Kindle remains in the cover pretty securely.
