THis is a great product compared to other flat irons. There is no need for the 'pink', or 'blue', they are all the same, as long as they are the genuine CHI brand.

I love this straightner! I have very thick,coarse hair and it took forever to straighten. I took a chance on the CHI straightner and it easily cuts my straighting time in half. It was well worth the money, even though it much more than I've ever spent on a straightner before. From now on, I'll only use this straightner!!

I have temperamental, curly, frizzy hair. Just this summer, I discovered CHI shampoo. My hairdresser used it on me, and when she was done, I asked, "What did you put in my hair? This stuff is amazing." She showed me the bottle, and I immediately went online to order some for myself. I ordered two bottles of the shampoo and two of the conditioner. My husband has even commented on how soft my hair is now. And it makes my blown-out styles have a bit more control/less frizz. Is it miraculous? After asking several people what kind of straight iron works the best, I purchased the CHI & love it. I've only used it a couple of times, but have found that it works really well. OK, bit early to review this but I've used it twice, I use the Biosilk and was wondering IF this was any better and to be honest, they are both as good as each other! Would recommend this (alcohol free) and the Biosilk (does contain alcohol) but as stated, both make your hair feel silky soft especially with the use of a flat iron (I recommend a Solia flat iron).

Great product, at the best price you'll be able to find. This helps my hair calm down after a shower, and makes it so smooth to the touch. Combine with moisturizing shampoo and ceramic straightener to have healthy, smooth, and shiny hair. I also use this to finger through my hair when it's curled to calm the fly-aways.

On the plus side, it doesn't cause as much breaking out as BioSilk does, so I alternate. I didn't find it had a strange smell, like the previous poster. I think if your wallet can take it, give it a try. If you're happy with another silk-ing product, stay with that, though. Why change if what you have works?
