I've been using this for almost 4 years now with no issues whatsoever. The only real problem I've ever had with it was fairly late vista and 64 bit support but I was lucky enough to have been a participant for their 64 bit driver beta testing and with vista 64, it performed flawlessly. If your computer has at least 2 gigs of ram (which it should if you're recording) and a core 2 duo cpu or something like that you shouldn't have any latency issues. I recorded with an old Pentium 4 and 2 gigs of ram and never had any latency issues. I mainly use it for recording a pair of mic's on a guitar cab. The preamps are decent but I prefer using my ART digital MPA until I can upgrade later on. M-Audio has full XP/Vista 32 bit and 64 bit driver support now as well ... Read More

I liked it and bought a second one. I once bought another brand that has a spring clamp, and it is useless. The clamp on the CAD is a much better design. The only problem is that it will not clamp to the thinner parts of a stand. I got around this problem by clamping it over a cord harness, or onto the boom housing. It just needs something wide enough to catch the tightening screw. It fits the bottom part of a stand, but that puts it too low to reach the mic. Other than that, it's built well and is easy to adjust. I've also tried models with a single layer of material. They don't stop the pops as well as the double layer type, such as the CAD.

I had this desktop audio monitors that I used about daily for a year and then, one day, they were done working. The sound quality was mediocre at best and the bass response was flimsy, high frequency response was thin. Buy something else that sounds better and lasts longer than this did.

Excellent speakers for my PC. The AV cord was kind of short, so I had to buy a longer cord. Otherwise very happy with the sound quality and the look of these high end PC speakers. I love that you can plug in your Ipod directly to the speakers.

This thing is great! It plugs right into my macbook and immediately works with Garageband and Reason :) I haven't tried to plug it into my vista or linux because I only plan to use it with my macbook but right away you don't need any software drivers or anything to make it work. It's much smaller than my 4' old Casio keyboard which is why i bought it and i don't regret buying it :) The Ableton software it came with is kind of crappy and not intuitive at all compared to what I already have, so I ditched it. But I didn't buy this for the free additional software it comes with. I bought it so I could bring it to me and my mac instead of bring my mac and me over to it (like my old fuller sized keyboard >.> ) and it's just the perfect size for that.

It seems like the author wastes paper and time gushing out extraneous words and remarks about how revolutionary and great the software is instead of sticking to the nuts and bolts of how it works. To someone who wants to curl up with the book for weeks straight, maybe this is a plus. To me, I find it rather annoying. I'd prefer a more concise reference. Ableton is a great package, but I think getting acquainted with the software quickly makes its value self-evident. I prefer the Ask video DVD (the one in the green box).

Ableton Live is a powerful DAW with lots of innovative features. In order to get the most out of it you need to have a good in-depth understanding of all its capability. This book provides lots of solid information and you can download accompanying lessons which makes it very easy to follow along. I also have the previous book covering Live 6. Both books are very helpful. Bottom Line: If you have Ableton Live you should have one of these books.

I bought this midi cable to hook up my V-amp 2 to my new pc with the Vista OS, and I didn't even have to install any drivers for it, it worked right off the bat. My pc recognized it immediately, no problem at all. I recommend it highly for V-amp users and whoever needs one with a computer that has Vista.

This is the perfect introductory book to Reason 4.0. This book will get you up and running with Reason 4.0 very quickly and is a great reference. I've never touched Reason before and this book made learning the software a breeze. My understanding about synthesis has increased exponentially. If Reason 4.0 is the first version of Reason you have ever used, I would highly recommend this book. If you have used previous versions of Reason then this book does cover the new features in 4.0 but most of it will be old news to you.

I also was a little concerned about the title since i don't consider my self as an "idiot" in music, but the autor gives you the information so easy to understand and so complete that you may feel more or less like a child (not an idiot)... it's fantastic!!. This book is for everyone, and i mean for any kind of professions; tells everybody how to teach in a manner to reach the goal without pain, something that's very hard to do. Congratulations, i think this is the very best on the subject... easy to read, concise, complete, and cheap for all that it gives!!
