THis is a great product compared to other flat irons. There is no need for the 'pink', or 'blue', they are all the same, as long as they are the genuine CHI brand.

After asking several people what kind of straight iron works the best, I purchased the CHI & love it. I've only used it a couple of times, but have found that it works really well. Heats up quickly & straightens my hair very easily. I was afraid I'd spend a lot of money & then get something that barely worked. I was pleasantly surprised!

I bought this to replace my Chi while I was living in Europe (the Chi doesn't come in 220v). It is as good (or bad) as any El Cheapo straightening iron you can pick up at Target. As many reviewers have noted, it tends to burn your hands as you iron. Worse still, you can't use any protective product (I used the Schwarzkopf Osis Flatliner Iron Serum and Toni and Guy's Iron-It Heat Defense Spray with my Chi with no such difficulty) - because it literally "fries" your hair, stinks terribly, and leaves gunky residue on the plates. I love this straightner! I have very thick,coarse hair and it took forever to straighten. I took a chance on the CHI straightner and it easily cuts my straighting time in half. It was well worth the money, even though it much more than I've ever spent on a straightner before. From now on, I'll only use this straightner!!

This flat iron is just what I needed. It does not catch on my long hair, the heat is adjustable, it warms up in just one minute and it gives me professional results. My last flat iron was cheap and did not perform. After much research, I finally found a great flat iron at a great price.

OK, bit early to review this but I've used it twice, I use the Biosilk and was wondering IF this was any better and to be honest, they are both as good as each other! Would recommend this (alcohol free) and the Biosilk (does contain alcohol) but as stated, both make your hair feel silky soft especially with the use of a flat iron (I recommend a Solia flat iron).

I bought this to be able to save time drying my hair and then straightening it. However, I found it took too long using this flat iron to really dry my hair, even though it's fairly short and only slightly wavy. It works ok on damp hair, though. I like at least being able to use it on damp hair. I did find it heavier and bulkier than other models (that only work on dry hair). Something about the design has caused me to burn my fingers a couple of times, something that never happened with my old flat iron. Overall, however, the model does deliver, straightening damp or dry hair, being able to control the temperature depending on your hair. I have found it very important to use some kind of creme or oil or silicone before using, as it's continued use leads to very dry, even fly-away hair.

I give this product a 4 1/2. It works great and dries your hair really fast. I had another conair that i did like but this one is amazing! The reason I didnt give it a 5 is because, like most people said, it is heavy. But other than that this is a great product and i recommend it to everyone!

I'm happy with my GHD. My hair always flips out at the ends but the GHD straightens it very nicely. The best item i've used so far to do the job. And the best part is I got a really good deal from Amazon. I saw the same iron at Sephora for $240. The reviews say to be careful for GHD fakes but my Amazon GHD is ligit... I was able to register it on their offical website. Thanks Amazon!
