The Canon XTI Rebel is very impressive and I am very satisfied with it, my only complaint is the battery should be larger. I think cutting cost with something so crucial to the camera is short sighted.

This came with my Rebel XT. Made in Japan, rated at 720mAH. I also bought a generic battery (SterlingTek - made in China) for back-up. Generic battery is rated to be 1700mA. Canon's probably last 100 shots more for comparison. Pros: - A full charge usually lasts around 500 shots. Auto focusing on all the time and with a 15% flash use. - Amazingly small and light. It fits even in the smallest pocket of your camera bag. - It is Canon for your Canon. You know there is no incompatibility issue. Perfect fit. - Fast charging. 1 hour of charge will lasts you a full day of shooting. Cons: - Expensive compared to my back-up that costs almost 1/4 of the price. Both batteries still works.

This is the kind of item that makes me feel very positive toward Amazon. I initially went on site to purchase a GENUINE Canon NB-2LH battery. With this starter kit priced at just $12 more than a battery alone on Amazon (or about an equal-to price at some other reputable, dependable eStores) and free shipping, I was really skeptical that I would find a GENUINE Canon NB-2LH battery in the kit--I did. I purchased this book on 10th Nov 08. Before buying this book I also purchased a guide for Canon Rebel XTI by David D. Busch. Since I have two books from different authors, I can compare it better. I feel this book is much better and meets my expectations. I gone through varous books but no books tells you what do you mean by AV, TV etc modes, when users should use that? and what is the effects of using that. This is best book and will recommned to others.

The back pack is good for me, I have 1 30D and 3 lenses, 18-85mm IS, 50mm1.4, 70-200mm 2.8L. It still has enough space for my incoming 5D_MarksII and a flash. It will be better if it can load a laptop.

Pro's: -Great DoF (f/1.8) -Great bokeh -Inexpensive Cons: -Plastic, unlike the mk1... I've heard it's very easy to break... If you drop it it's a goner -AF is noisy -Focusing ring is annoying Overall: Overall, I love this lens... It's great, especially for the price. If you can't take perfect care of your lens, save up for the mk1, which is about $300 more, made of metal, and is f/1.4. But if you want a great lens for a cheap price and are willing to take care and just be a bit extra careful, I'd recommend this beauty.

It's just a protection filter. It's does a good work by day though it can create weird flares by night if you are trying to picture below a bright light or if there's one pointing towards you. It also has a weird glass finish in the edges that make it look cheap (even though it is)
