I thnk it's a pretty good product. It doesn't look exactly like the pictures shown. It has a black pearl effect and on one side a big silver "Musicians Friend" logo that can be very easily scraped off if undesired. All in all good value.

I ordered this product, but received a different item by mistake. When I explained this condition in my feedback (never thinking my feedback could help me get a new guitar case that would fit my guitar), a manager at Musician's Friend contacted me and offered they would help me with this case. They finally sent me a new guitar case which is perfect for my guitar at no additional cost! I would like to say thanks to Musician's Friend for their awesome customer service!

I am a beginning guitarist and I bought this to help me learn how to tune the guitar. It is fairly simple to use. just pluck the string and it'll tell you if its off or not. Good product overall. There are no doubt better ones for a higher price.

This DVD is fantastic! It's worth the price just for the looped backing tracks for practice. I like how I can practice major, minor, power or seventh chords over the backing tracks. It makes practicing chord transitions fun---like actually playing something---instead of a grind. The teacher is first-rate. Yes, as previously noted, he's playing an electric guitar. IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE TO THE LESSON. He injects just enough music theory quickly and concisely while showing the viewer where to put his/her fingers. I found this easy to read and understand but I don't like the way the book is set up. You learn a few notes and then move onto chords. I would have preferred to learn all the notes and then move onto chords because that seems much simpler to me. But you can skip through the book to find the other notes. I also thought there should be more songs to practice with when learning the notes, there were only rwo or three tiny little bits after learning the notes. All in all it was just adequate for me.

I bought this for my 14 yr old daughter. I reviewed the book and found it to be simple yet comprehensive. The two audio CDs are great as well. Looks like I made a great choice!

I've been playing around with my guitar for some time, trying to teach myself how to play the thing since professional lessons are way more than I can afford right now. This little DVD was just what I needed to get me past the chording hurdle. Being able to play along with someone else is a big help. I would recommend this DVD as a good beginning to teaching yourself how to play.

I enjoy this thoroughly. No problems, comes with tuning chart so you can see what you have to tune it to, and it auto-detects the note played and then tells you if you're to sharp or flat.

I've been trying to learn on and off for a few months now and I would say this was a great place to begin looking. This DVD was very helpful and it goes along with a booklet you receive which makes tremendously easy to follow. You learn a lot of basic aspects of guitar playing (rhythm, strumming, finger picking etc.) You can certainly play a few songs by the end of this DVD. You should try it at your own pace and refer back to the DVD for guidance. I'd recommend it!
