We bought these to replace a 3-4 year old VTech dual set that had dead spots in our house and to add a unit. The Panasonic with Dect 6.0 solved the dead zone issue and seems to have great range inside and outside. In the deal, we also got: (1) better sound quality, (2) a lighter phone, (3) bigger buttons, (4) an decent sounding speaker phone, (5) erasing missed calls on one unit does it on all three, (6) longer battery life. Only negatives going thru more menus to erase (but that is more than offset by #5) and we didn't like the wall mount. Since we have voicemail I haven't used the answering machine, but am considering going to that for ease of use and ability to hear message being left and interrupt if desired. We are very pleased with this phone system.

This phone is decent for the money, but I expected more. You have to separately store numbers in the address book in both handsets. The voice clarity sometimes fades in and out a little, and you cannot set your own ring tone. Otherwise it seems to be a good phone.

I purchased this speaker phone for my 85-year-old father who wears two hearing aids. With his old speaker phone he had trouble hearing the person to whom he was speaking. This is not a problem with the Panasonic phone. We can even have another person on the line without having any static or interference. This phone was the perfect solution for giving him the ability to use the phone. He actually likes to get on the phone and talk to family and friends.

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Series 4 Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System (KX-TG1034S) Tradeoffs- no more interference from other wireless electronics in house/neighborhood, but phone is hard to hold with your shoulder. Also ordered headset which is very uncomfortable. Would not recommend, especially if you have other things to do while talking on the phone - either professionally (can not type at the same time) or domestically (difficult to clean up kitchen, make dinner, fold laundry). Very disappointed-wish I could return (ran out of time).

This headset provides good sound quality, both receiving and transmitting. The problem with the mute button is that it must be pressed continuously, and if your thumb fatigues, you get a crackling sound on the line. Do not purchase this unit if you need to have the microphone on mute for extended periods (such as when recording). Get a unit which has a slide switch or toggle mute button.

Ordered from, and confirmed by Amazon, the equipment was ordered on Amazon's UK website, from a UK address, for delivery to the same UK address. The phones were supplied by an American Amazon merchant without my authority. The merchant supplied equipment earmarked by the manufacturer as being for use in the USA. The problems arising from the unusabilty in the UK of the equipment are self evident, making regrettable the absence of Amazon customer service and it's help to compensate for a situation of Amazon's making. Indeed, but for the Cardholder protection afforded and promptly given by American Express a court action might have resulted.

I purchased my Panasonic model KX-TG6022B cordless phone to replace a disastrously bad Vtech model ip5825. Overall, I have been satisfied with the Panasonic so far, but there are some features I miss and some others not well-implemented. Many features are well below current industry standards. (1) There is no option for a belt-clip for the handset. I find belt-clips very convenient. Instead, there is a small hole at the top for a lanyard, which is not supplied. (2) Not only is there a separate phone book for each handset, but there are separate caller-id lists (for incoming calls) for each handset. The item was misleading on the web site.I thought it was a complete unit, but when received found out it was an auxiliary until and I required a mother base.I sent the unit back sent bought the right unit locally.

Quite pleased in general with features, answering machine operation, tone quality, etc. Two-line capability is quite useful. Range is better than that of most other cordless phones I've had, but only about half the distance my previous (about 5-year-old) GigaRange phone had. Operation is good anywhere in the house, gets spotty in the garage and more remote parts of the yard. Old phone was quite a bit larger and heavier, had a 3" protruding blade antenna. This handset is considerably smaller and lighter, with an internal antenna--much easier to carry around in a pocket. All in all, a very good phone system with good but not exceptional range.

The Speakerphone worked reasonably well for the first month then started "clipping" and missing some of the words at all volume levels. The rest of the phone works as advertised but I guess there are not really good corded phones at any price.
