C&D was once entertaining, witty, objective and a great read. The staff worked well together and they put out a consistently good magazine. Then it went through some rough years where it got kind of tame and boring. Now, it's an ill fitting mix of new and old writers trying to be fresh and hip while being spoon fed by the car manufactures. The magazine lacks consistency, focus and any sort of clear vision as to what they're about. C&D mostly seems to print what the biggest manufactures want them to. There have been several articles lately, such as on the new Nissan GT-R and Corvette ZR1, that literally mirror articles in other magazines even featuring some of the same quotes from the same car execs. The renewal process was quick,self-explanatory so even a novice could complete it.

I've read them all. Automobile is the best US car magazine. If you want even better ones, EVO and CAR are superior, but your going to have to pay to have them imported from the Brits.

you get pages of half naked girls, dumb looking geek boys, and articles that look like they were written by people who live at the unemployment office.

I'm sure this is more for the tech minded; but, there's still enough in it for the rest of us. If you have time and enjoy spending it thumbing thru magazines, this one is certainly entertaining. The ads are sleek, the men are handsome and there's tidbits of info for everyone.

Newsweek is a satisfactory source of information of current events. However, the agency that Amazon uses to handle the subscriptions made errors on my order and was unresponsive to my attempts to reach them to correct it. I will not use Amazon again to subscribe to magazines.

Be careful with this company... I recieved a card in the mail for a gift membership to this magazine. I thought it would be a cool gift so I filled the card out as an interested party. They started sending the magazine without recieving any money from me to start the subscription... well after thinking about it I decided not to do it so I did not want to pay for it. They continued to send it I thought in error... Now over a year later they send me a collection letter from a collection compnay for the 19.95 subscription fee. Why would a company send a product before being paid.. to rip off customers. OK magazine but I would not bother with this company ever.

Just look at the cover...is this magazine targeted at the single male or what?....but GQ isn't glib...it has great articles,great photography,it's quality! If you enjoy this magazine you will almost certianly enjoy the new dvd "Single a documentary film"..it features a cast of entertaing and thought provoking experts,comics,Singer/songwriters and "real life" people sharing their insights and observations about the complexities of relationships in todays crazy world" Also available on Amazon.com
