This bracket is an absolute waste. A $15 dollar waste too! I even tightened it with pliers, not just the hand tightening knob, and still wouldn't even adequately hold the Scarecrow in position. No chance of any real adjustment with this junk design either. Ended up using some electrical PVC brackets with great success, cost about $.40 each.

I had a new neighbor in our typical residential neighborhood- houses 20 feet away from each other- who decided his 2 large dogs should be able to roam free----- and they decided my pristine yard was a great place to leave 3 or 4 lb piles of feces on....daily. I now have this set up and it works perfectly- the neighborhood kids think its a hoot too- Five big stars- works perfecly for my needs-

I felt compelled to review this so others won't waste their time or water with this bad product. I came home one afternoon to see water spraying out this, since the metal coupling on the bottom came uncrimped from the rubber hose. No big problem I think, maybe I just got a bad one in the batch since I'd only been using it for about 3 weeks. My setup has it always on, then electronic timers cycle twice daily after this coupler to controller sprinklers in the garden. So I returned it to the local hardware store and got a replacement. The new one worked for about 2 weeks until failing. I was picking peppers when it let go the second time around, so I at least avoided a muddy garden. However, it was same failure mechanism both times - the metal sleeve popped off the rubber tube. Read More

This timer is easy to program and use. I've only had it for a month but it seems to work fine. I like the 6 yr warranty. Other timers have much shorter warranties and only last a few months.

The Deer Chaser product perfoms functionally per specification but is NOT effective at keeping the deer away from my flower beds and vegetable gardens as promoted. The light turns on and off when a motion is detected within the 25ft range and the radio works well on some of the 5 units that I purchased. A couple of them may be defective since the radio does not perform consistently in the same area where others work. Like other advertised product to keep deer from destroying landscape and garden, the Deer Chaser product does NOT deliver as promoted.

We have had tree damage and bird carcasses due to cats chasing birds; dead and contaminated plants and vegetables and an unusable lawn due to the amount of feces and urine. Projectiles and mouse traps didn't do the job. This product did. No cat signs! We have had it plugged into an outlet on motion sensor for less than a week. We had it on the highest settings and positioned the product at cat height. I did NOT notice it going off with storms (we get strong windtunnels in our area). The directions state clearly that you have to adjust the settings to find the magic spot for the particular animal, as individual hearing abilities differ. This keeps getting cheaper on Amazon, I may have to fill my house with them! Seriously, this is a great price for an automatic valve. I just got mine, so I can't speak to it's longevity. The first thing I noticed is how bizarre the battery compartment was designed. I could see how some reviewers had problems with keeping the battery compartment dry. The seal should not have to compete with the springs that hold the battery in. Poor engineering. Also, anytime a device uses dials, it's impossible to make it totally waterproof. So buyer beware. Another oddity: for such a simple device, the instructions are written in a confusing manner. But it basically works as you expect. The manual overrides are just a little confusing.
