This game requires quicktime 5.0 to work...if you have a better version of quicktime (I have 7.5), it will ask you to install the quicktime available on the CD...if you click no, it will not let you play. So, I begrudgingly clicked yes on the third try, and it installed quicktime 5, THEN it tells me to please install the quicktime available on the disc. It KEPT telling me that, even after I uninstalled my version of quicktime 7.5, and reinstalled Barbie Rapunzel and quicktime 5. Very frustrating, and the game absolutely will not work for me. It keeps telling me over and over, to install quicktime 5, tho I've been through the installation process repeatedly. It is NOT my "operating system limitations". This a "more" 3D game than the Swan Lake game because you actually move around in 3D environment. At first I thought this game was really boring (compared to Swan Lake). BUT my four-year old daughter persisted and continued to play, and she eventually figured out amazing parts of the game that the beginning had completely belied.

I bought this game for my 9 year old daughter. She has many of the other Barbie games. She loves this movie and loves to dance so I got this game for her birthday with much anticipation but when she put it on the computer she was greatly disappointed. The scenery moves with the character which caused her confusion. She became very frustrated and started crying because she couldn't do the game. I even tried to play the game for awhile and was very disappointed. Luckily I also gave her Barbie Diaries and that game was much better. Barbie 12 dancing princess would have so much fun if they would have just followed the same programming style as they did in Rapunzel, Princess and the Pauper and Swan Lake.

Overall I thought this game was done well. You as Barbie have to find out who is trying to stop all the band members from being able to compete. You get to put something new on Barbie everyday and you have a lot of suspects. Just as this game was starting to get interesting it ended which kind of made me unhappy considering how much it cost. The other thing that bugged me though it is a really dumb thing was Barbie's swagger in her jeans, it's really destracting. It was better than I was expecting and I have been getting a lot of other barbie games trying to find one similer.

Not ALL bunny's r wild. U can find bunny's at the pet store. CONS: 1. I wish you could drive Barbies bike. 2.i wish the pet's got sick. 3. Pets r still there. This game gave us an error screen in one of the mini-games on the Prince's boat, and we can progress no further. Even if we overlook this, my daughter was bored with the mini-games (the ones we could play) and stopped playing it. My advice: Stay away from this title!

My daughter liked this game, but she finished it in like a half an hour. Which was very disappointing to both of us. The game is quite easy, and not very challenging. My daughter does like this game, and does still play it, but it does not compare to the other games she has. (Like Barbie Princess and the Pauper, great game!) So yes, even though she does like this game, dispite the shortness of it, I think we both would have prefered a better game.
