I had seen excerpts of this concert on YouTube, which I enjoyed. So I decided to purchase the DVD. I am really glad I did. It is a great concert by Sting and his band. I also like the bonus material. I enjoy knowing something about their process. I highly recommend this DVD for those who like Sting's music.

Let's face it. If you buy this DVD you are interested in Sting. You get alot more but as other reviewers have said it is not a full concert video nor a full flavor of the transformation of the songs. But you will get a very interesting look at Sting as he left the Police and went out on his own. Every Sting fan should see this.

I like Sting's music. I watched the concert he did on 9/11/01 and enjoyed it immensely. He had almost as much self-marketing crap on the disc, also, as music. Hey Sting, we don't care about the building of your sound studio. I don't need to see you give big, girly, hugs to the members of your band. It does not thrill me to see you barefoot playing guitar in your hallway. I could care less about your interactions with people that make you feel like a mini-God. Get over yourself. Sing the songs and shut the F**K up. Don't sell us on how much you can buy or how much others love you. GET OVER YOURSELF. First of all, I'm a huge Police fan...That said, this DVD is a good glimpse into the concert atmosphere circa 80's! I love seeing the fans and their clothing and hair styles of that era. Understanding this, the sound recording and video quality is also vintage 1980's! Although the DVD features 5.1 audio in both Dolby and DTS, the sound is a bit dull and unsharp? There's no projection...like the Cream Albert Hall DVD. Andy Sumner's guitar should sound crisp and sharp, but it doesn't. I have a good Sub. but I don't get a great bass projection. I'm sure this is the best they could do with the technology of the time. Live concert miking has improved a lot since then. The visuals are great, and you can get a real sense of what it was like at the concert. I just wish the sound was better!

I really owe Sting a whole lot of five star plus reviews. THIS is one outstanding CD of 15 songs, each one enirely unique, each one memorable in its own way. Sting's style - has an array of influences, and my favorite are the Middle Eastern notes & style. Favorite Songs from this CD that always bring me joy are: Fragile A Thousand Years All This Time If You Love Somebody Set Them Free Brand New Day Fields of Gold If I Ever Lose My Faith in You His music is extraordinary in person, live as well in 1978/9 at "Speaks" in Long Island, NY - very down to earth, and super talented. If you're a mainstream Jazz fan wanting to experience the HD audio and video, you'd love this. Great show, amazing music and brilliant collaborations from guest artists. It's a big show, on a big venue by a bunch of big artists... Perhaps "Chris Botti & Friends - Night Sessions (Live in Concert)" is a quite more intimate/relaxed performance given the atmosphere of the site and the reduced size of the venue, which brings the opportunity to choose between two different kind of shows, but none of them seems better than the other one. They're just different. Worth having.

The DVD helped bring back some wonderful sounds that I grew up with. I would highly recommend it to all those who love their music and presence of stage.....and to anyone else who appreciates great music.

One of my favorite bands, saw them in a bar when they were raw, and have almost every recording and video available. There's some great footage on the video, and as mentioned in the other reviews, an inside account of the band during the years recorded. Essential item for die hard fans, other casual listeners may not appreciate. Easily worth ten bucks.

Yeah it's got all their videos, problem is: The Police didn't make really good videos. Most of them are just them mugging in front of the camera, lip-synching the song. That changes--dramatically--with "Every Breath You Take," one of the all-time classic videos. Still gives chills, 25 years later. "Invisible Sun" is ooookay, "Wrapped Around Your Finger" is a boring but admirable attempt, as video was still a brand-new art form. "Synchronicity II" seemed cool at the time but now seems a little primitive. The video for "Don't Stand '86" is just depressing, because it was the end of them, the song was atrocious, and the video is nothing special.
