I had ordered a 2-year subscription to House & Garden. About 10 months in, the publisher replaced H&G with Domino. I tried Domino for 6 months before I called to ask for a refund. This magazine is terrible. Each month showcases multiple rooms, homes, before and after makeovers, etc., all from the homes of various Domino editors. They don't even put forth the energy to give you ideas from outside their own staff. How lazy are they?

For the last 8 years or so, I have collected editions of Instyle. I never meant to start collecting it, but it's the kind of magazine I can't throw away because of all the gorgeous photos and quality of this publication. They show the insides of celeb homes (even though they move on a whim and these houses probably have new owners) and fashions and beauty tips etc. It's honestly the only magazine I do buy. I love all the event pictures they show that I've not seen in other mags. It's a complete mix of other peoples styles and information about how to create your own personal style. They interview various people and also have a great segment each month called Man Of Style - to see what the hottest guys in Hollywood are wearing etc.
The thing I like most about Instyle it's that it's not just ... Read More

I know I am going to get a big boot from other reviewers for writing this, but, this is one of the most useless and boring magazines I have ever read.

The entire magazine is just replete with materialism and obsession with consumerism. This may be because as a young girl, I absolutely HATED (and still do) shopping for clothes in the malls and stores.

As for content, I'd rather read Cosmo from cover to cover than read this magazine in its entirety. At least Cosmo doesn't try to act sophisticated and just tells it like it is.

What I'd like to know is, who are the people actually reading a magazine about . . . shopping? Shopping for womens' clothing? Seems a bit ridiculous. Maybe my review has evolved into a more ethical statement, and perhaps this shouldn't be ... Read More

Good Housekeeping (2-year)
I've used other online places to buy magazines and waited up to 6 months to see my first issues! Amazon was quick, easy and my Good Housekeeping arrived the next month! I hadn't received GH for a few years and I'm happy to read it again. GH has changed some and for the better.

I love Marie Claire magazine! I have been a subscriber for over 5 years and I hope they never change this magazine. It has ton of great make-up, fashion and beauty articles but it also has lots of intelligent articles. It keeps readers looking good but also keeps readers informed about the U.S, world problems, and womens rights issues around the world. Unlike other fashion magazines, Marie Claire is not self absorbed or full of snooty articles or ugly clothing that costs as much as my house. It is a really good, interesting magazine at a great price!!
