I would have given this 5 stars but the straw is really difficult to clean. The concept is brilliant, no more cleaning the blender out, just stick the components of your smoothie in a cup and go. What could be easier!

The milkshade blade is great for making milk shakes in the Oster blender. Every night my youngest gets out the ingredients for his chocholate shake. It whips the icream and milk so much better than the regular blade. Got exactly what I wanted.

I really hoped that this blade and ring would help me solve the leak problem w/my extremely old blender. I really only needed the ring to stop the leaking, but figured that since my blender is so old, that it would be a great idea to go ahead and get the blade that came with the ring. They were too small for my blender. I don't know how old my blender is. With all of the reviews of people having good luck with their 20-25 yr old blenders, I thought it'd be worth a shot. I guess my blender is even older than theirs (like from the 60s, lol) I wish I could give a higher rating, but I don't know how well it works, the 2 stars is for quick delivery.

I keep chewing up my blender gaskets. Could not find in any stores, but went online and there they were. Ordered and was shipped the next day. I know have spares and no longer worry about doing my blending. Great response time. Thanks

Well, Oster made this product line to be compatible with most of its blenders. That's all fine and dandy, and it works with all my protein shakes. The problem is, the blender SOUNDS different when I use this cup rather than the glass blender pitcher. It sounds as if it's struggling and "smells like burning." I can't for the life of me figure out why. It isn't getting stuck on anything, as I tried putting water in the cup and watching the blades spin. Also, when you screw the blade onto the cup, liquid can seep out from the bottom without its rubber gasket (which is easily losable in the dish washer). Milky protein shakes get pretty nasty when not cleaned up, so make sure you RINSE this cup after using, because crap just loves to stick to the inside after drying. However, it is a good idea ... I just recently purchased the model. I therefore can't attest to its longevity/reliability. It appears to be at the top of what I have had or is out there but I have not owned. All coffeemakers seem to have flaws but most can be overcomed. This makes excellent coffee and that is what matters. Who cares about the cup thingy in the water container- you fill the pot and it tells you the number of cups. The water holder seems no worst others but the fact that the pot pours without spilling makes the small opening a no issue. I don't use most features as I prefer making my coffee when I want a cup. I never set the auto brew as I don't trust most electrical appliances that might cause a fire. This is surely the best coffeemaker, for the money, on the market. I love this product because it's glass and the pyrex lids always seal very well, but just be aware that the containers are a little bit smaller than you think. Still a good value.
