Good Housekeeping (2-year) I've used other online places to buy magazines and waited up to 6 months to see my first issues! Amazon was quick, easy and my Good Housekeeping arrived the next month! I hadn't received GH for a few years and I'm happy to read it again. GH has changed some and for the better.

I've had to introduce adult male cats before and learned a lot of the stuff in this book THE HARD WAY. Wish I had this book the first time. I'm currently introduding two adult cats (one male, one female) to my clan of two males, and I knew it was going to be harder than the first go round. I searched for a good book on behavior knowing I would need more help. The litterbox info alone is worth the price of this book. Please buy this book before you ever try to introduce cats to cats...don't just throw them together and let them work it out! It will be worth the planning and patience in the long run!

The first few pages are nothing but ads. But there are several good articles. I would reorder this magazine.

I'm not a vet, but Cat Owners Veterinary handbook seems to be thorough and rather easy to understand. It offers a great deal of detailed information regarding feline diseases and treatment options. It is a guide I feel comfortable with and will always use to learn about feline health. Maria B.

I've subscribed to Catnip for over 5 years now, and have been very satisfied with the overall quality of the writing. Until recently I also subscribed to Cat Fancy and Catwatch. Cat Fancy had little to no useful information - in general it appeared to be more of a platform for cat breeders to advertise in. Catwatch was a tougher call - it is published by the Cornell School of Veterinary Medicine, much like Catnip (which is published by the folks at Tufts University). However, over the years I've found the Catwatch articles to be far too vague and generalized to be of much use. In addition, I noticed a few factual errors about health issues. This is the only magazine that I receive that I read cover to cover, then bring to school for my students to read. The articles are short enough to hold your attention but long enough to tell you what you need to know. In every issue there are several articles that are fantastic and the rest are very good, more than you can say for the average magazine!
