I love Marie Claire magazine! I have been a subscriber for over 5 years and I hope they never change this magazine. It has ton of great make-up, fashion and beauty articles but it also has lots of intelligent articles. It keeps readers looking good but also keeps readers informed about the U.S, world problems, and womens rights issues around the world. Unlike other fashion magazines, Marie Claire is not self absorbed or full of snooty articles or ugly clothing that costs as much as my house. It is a really good, interesting magazine at a great price!!

After casually flipping through Cosmo while waiting in line at the grocery store when I was in college, I finally decided to subscribe, and boy did I regret it. I was hoping to enjoy Cosmo as my monthly guilty pleasure, but what I got was an incredibly banal reading experience. The fashion, hair, and skin tips are not bad, but similar advice can easily be found in a several better magazines.

Cosmo however, became a cultural staple because of the promise of its cover teasers. Yet, for anyone over the age of 14, the articles that these teaser headlines offer are uninformative and generally useless. By the third month of my subscription I realized that if you read one issue of Cosmo, you really don't need to read another one. They are all the same! Cosmo masquerades as an empowering ... The magazine comes very late every month. For example you can see the August issue on sale everywhere in mid-July. But the August issue comes late August to subscribers. I wonder whether that's the deal of subscription. Very disappointed.

I know I am going to get a big boot from other reviewers for writing this, but, this is one of the most useless and boring magazines I have ever read.

The entire magazine is just replete with materialism and obsession with consumerism. This may be because as a young girl, I absolutely HATED (and still do) shopping for clothes in the malls and stores.

As for content, I'd rather read Cosmo from cover to cover than read this magazine in its entirety. At least Cosmo doesn't try to act sophisticated and just tells it like it is.

What I'd like to know is, who are the people actually reading a magazine about . . . shopping? Shopping for womens' clothing? Seems a bit ridiculous. Maybe my review has evolved into a more ethical statement, and perhaps this shouldn't ... Read More

I ordered Vogue on Amazon and in less than a month I started receiving the fashion-ey goodness, including a 800 page issue-thing that could seriously do some damage to one's head if hit with it. Excellent mag for those who love fashion and Amazon got it here on the fly. Bravo.

There are a lot of magazines out there for women and teens that do not compare to Women's Health. I used to read Teen Vogue, which I always thought was a bit depressing, but since I first picked up an issue of Women's Health, I've been hooked. The magazine is full of good, sane advice, fun articles, and women who strike me as 100% real, healthy, and beautiful. Whenever one of my girlfriends sees me reading it, they have to take a look and are really impressed. This magazine brightens my day, and has helped me to a healthier, happier life!
