 : Weber 2820 Smokey Mountain Cooker/Smoker

I can't add anything new to what has already been said about this product. I've used it only three times so far. This smoker can turn anyone into a star backyard chef. I roasted a chicken this evening in it and I have to say it was probably the best chicken that I ever had. I also smoked a rack of baby back ribs a couple of weeks ago. They came out great! It is pretty hard to mess anything up with this smoker. It is worth the extra expense for this smoker over the similar but inferior made brinkmans. This is one of those cases where you get what you pay for. No regrets what so ever on this purchase. Go to virtualweberbullet site for a lot of great info.

This is by far the best book for the novice and experienced smoke chef ever as far as I'm concerned. It gives a lot of tips and recipes for about anything you would ever think of putting in a smoker. It is an easy read with lot of information.

I love chimney starters. No need to store chemical lighter fluid and no taste of the chemicals on your food. We used to have to sit there and babysit the charcoal making sure it was lit with fluid, and now we just light the paper and walk away. It lights by itself 99% of the time. It might be a large item to store but under the grill it's perfect. No fear of chemicals you are ingesting and a strong burning and even burning pile of coals at the end. Well worth the money.

I've had this book for a few years now so I have had a chance to follow its recommendations and make many of the recipes in it. I'd give the book a below average score because you will really not learn much about smoking. They don't discuss the myriad of ways one can cook ribs and BBQ and there's an assumption everyone knows how to smoke. As for the recipes, they are average at best. Some are decent and some are absolutely horrible. You're taking a huge chance if you're making some of the recipes for the first time w/ guests coming over. If you doubt my review, just try and make the Golden Mustard Barbecue Sauce recipe on page 350. It's the worst smell that will ever emanate from your kitchen and the taste is HORRIBLE. Just try it and let me know how they ever published such a recipe. My ... Read More

This thing works exactly as advertised and deserves all the positive reviews it got. I don't know how I lived without this for so long. This starter is simply fantastic! I used this for the first time today to start a BBQ and was astounded by how easy and fast this thing is.

No more lighter fluid, fanning, piling coals into a pyramid, and other nonsense. Just stuff some paper in the bottom, light, and come back 5 mins later. Your coals will be glowing red.

Very nice construction quality and durable build. And not a bad price too. Highly recommended.

Not too much to say here. It's a rib rack that is designed to stand your ribs while cooking as opposed to laying them flat. It works! The ribs stand up! Nuff said...

These gloves work fine for handling hot grills as long as you make every effort to handle the hot metal for as short a time as possible. Get just a little careless and hold on for just a bit too long, and you'll get burned! I would have liked a bit more insulation, but still, for the money, these gloves aren't bad at all.

I made some bbq baby back ribs shortly after I got the smoker. I used my usual recipe for ribs just to see if the flavor is better than smoking in the gas grill. I have to say these bisquettes delivered flavor as promised. I smoked the ribs for 4 hours then grilled them lightly on the gas grill before serving; they tasted like coming from the restaurant. I took the leftovers to work and they were gone in minutes. A great product beside the costs... I guess it is worth it afterall.
