Take this book for what it is: sheer entertainment. It is a quick enjoyable read and reads true to the thoughts and feeling of a girl Bella's age. This book was written with a certain audience in mind and was obviously not written for a sunday school class. As it is intended to be entertainment it should not be picked apart by religious bigots for whom it was not written in the first place. There are some books that you just read for fun. It in no way means that I will look to the characters as an example of how to live! Besides, every time a bigot creates a controversy it just means that more people will read the book and it will be that much more popular. So please keep on talking. I'm sure Stephanie Meyer will cry her way to the bank...or laugh.

I love all of her books, this one is also a great read for many different reasons. I know other reviews in the past had a hard time warming up to Bella. I really liked her in the first two because she was young so I cut her a bit of slack with being indecisive and just not really knowing what was going on. In this book I feel like the maturity difference between Edward,Jacob(who's even younger than her) and Bella was a bit much. They seem so much older and self sacrificing and she just comes off acting very childishly. I guess I just wish she would man up a bit. It seems like every time she tries to be all self sacrificing and "brave" it's really just to admittedly manipulate one of the two guys. I highly recommend this book. I could not put it down. It is my favorite book out of the series. I can't wait for the movie.

I liked how the alliance between the werewolves and vampires came to fruition, but I still find the love triangle between Bella, Edward, and Jacob had to believe! Either way the best part of the book was about the legend of the spirit warriors, maybe Stephenie should take her time and write a quality book about the werewolves and try to be a bit more conscientious of writing strong female characters.

Brainstorms I read the entire Twilight series after fans kept telling me that my song "Edward" reminded them of the book(s). I think "Twilight" is a fun, subtly sexy read. And Edward is indeed a lovable character! If you agree, you might enjoy my song too, so hopefully you'll check it out ;o)

OOOOHHHHH MY GOSH !!! This is a GREAT READ!! The series is AWESOME!! I could hardly put any one of these books down. I recommend them HIGHLY!-I also would not say that this is a" teeny bopper" book, adults will enjoy all 4 books. Buy them, you' ll miss sleep but you'll love it!!

As I had read Meyer's Twilight Saga, I wanted to read her first novel for adults to see how different it was to her other three novels. Also the plot of The Host seemed to be very exciting and unusual. To me, the novel, however, turned out to be very boring. When I read Twilight, I was truly fascinated by the story and the easy read, so that of course I also read New Moon and Eclipse. But already New Moon showed that Meyer was trying to change her writing style from a simple one to a more sophisticated language style, which unfortunately did not work out. I was also disappointed with the way in which she developed the exciting love between Edward and Bella. Puedo decir que el libro me tuvo en suspenso todo el tiempo de principio a fin. Demas esta decir que lo lei en 3 dias. Me gusto mucho la parte en donde el profesor Snape brinda informacion sobre su niñez y el por que de tratar de esa manera a Potter al igual que puedo entender mejor otras partes de los libros anteriores. Pero la parte de mas suspenso comienza cuando los cazadores encuentran a Ron, Hermione y Harry en la caseta de campaña de ahi en adelante fue cuando mas me llamo la atencion. La parte cuando le matan la reliquia que esta dentro de Harry y ahi Dumbledore explica tantas cosas ... En fin me encanto. Lo uncio que no me gusto es que nunca mencionaron como que fue lo que paso Umbridge. En fin hay que leerlo pero los 7 libros corridos como lo hice y creanme que vale la pena de esa manera.
