This book is amazing. I bought it cause one person in my family is going through something similar and it has really helped me to give her advice. I haven't finish the book but i can't stop reading it. Definitely something that happens to many women.

I bought this book after I had read LA SOMBRA DEL VIENTO written by the same author. To be honest, I liked much more La sombra del Viento, and I think that El juego del angel is a book that in general is based on the same idea of the previous one and in some way is takes the conceptual arquitecture of the one and bilds the argument of the second. The truth is that I enjoied much more LA SOMBRA DEL VIENTO.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. It is interesting, the descriptions are vivid, the Spanish version is funny (sorry English speakers, I think you missed the "Spanish" sense of humor and expressions all over this book), there was mystery, love, etc. Ruiz Zafon is an excellent story teller. Simply, I loved this book! Este libro es uno de los mejores que me he leido. Este libro es interesante, las descripciones son vividas, y la version en espanol es graciosa (creo que los que leyeron el libro en ingles se perdieron gran parte del sentido del humor espanol y de sus frases tan ocurrentes y por supuesto la belleza de nuestra lengua), tambien hubo misterio, amor, etc. Ruiz Zafon es un excelente narrador. Simplemente me encanto este libro.

I & my husband both, enjoyed this book -- about how it feels to get old, while giving the inside story of how circus life was in the early 1900's.Great characters, book made me feel like I was there....

Excelente novela histórica con una calidad narrativa que te apasiona y te rompe el alma en pedazos. Lo leí después de leer la Sombra del Viento y el Vuelo del Angél. Definitivamente, esta parece ser una época dorada para los escritores catalanes.

I had no intention of reading this book because of the negative publicity surrounding Khaled Hosseini's previously published novel, The Kite Runner, and the movie based on it. I know some people who will not watch any movie with rape scenes. Unfortunately, I'm not that ideologically consistent, as my favorite director is Sergio Leone, and his films have a lot of rape scenes. In any event, a local Muslima was leading a book discussion group which was planning to talk about A Thousand Splendid Suns, so I decided to read it and participate.
