The book is a good read, particularly to those interested in medicine and more particularly, medical history. The book is well written, informative and holds ones attention amazingly well. Although I have never read Michael Bliss (author) before, I will certainly be looking out for him in the future. I very much recommend reading the book.

I purchased 5 of these books as a "Thank you" to 5 excellent physicians who supported me as an oncology nurse practitioner. Since I was retiring, I wanted to say "Thank you" and each physician was thrilled to receive a copy.

Was it to avoid the story of the federal government refusing the payment of taxes by third parties and insisting on in-person appearance by Lee? Or the theft of the family furnishings, down to the slaughtering of Lee's daughter's pet pony? I can't really give you a review of the book I purchased because I never read it. My youngest son (actually my baby, only in his late 40's)has a birthday in October. Its hard to buy something for someone who lives half way across the country from you. It seems to get harder each year. I know he reads a lot, but so do I. However I like to pick out my own books and figured he would feel the same way. I know we do not read the same type of books so except for sending him gift cards I have never sent him a book.
