It felt like reading a Dan Brown novel or maybe a Crichton story, fast paced easy to read, a bit alarmist and very nuclear. Fun to read.

This book is for those who are serious about saving our country, and humankind.

We can tell who the serious are by what they have sacrificed to get the truth out. A good number of Americans have lost their jobs, and sacrificed friendships and public standing, to help their fellow citizens understand the urgent need for 9/11 truth. Dr. Griffin is one of those people. If you want to stop terrorism, the 9/11 Wars, torture, and the destruction of the US constitution among other tragedies, read this book and pass it on.

But if you are among the few who are serious about perpetuating the fraud of 9/11, then continue to ignore or condemn this book. It's all on the record, and we're all in it together.

I have to point out that I really enjoyed this book just for the sheer insider details on the inner workings of the very flawed 9/11 Commission investigation provided by someone that was there from day one, and that is Philip Shenon. What sealed it for me was how Shenon quietly and mysteriously leaves and open ended statement for all to ponder over at the very very end of his book (page 423). SEE BELOW.

What do I mean by that? Well, to me, Shenon contradicts all other 400 + pages of his book with that final selection of words. And to me, that is fascinating in the fact that he confesses to wanting to tell us more but he is afraid to.Why? Is he terrified of losing his D.C. insider status?

As someone else points out here, you must read David Ray Griffin's review

I am 20 years old, and first stumbled upon Ron Paul back when he originally declared his intent to run for President. I'd heard his name before, and immediately began seeing "Who is Ron Paul?" chalked all around campus. I always considered myself "conservative," but am attending school at a former East-coast hotbed for left wing radicalism (and where more than 85% of the people voted for Obama a couple weeks ago).

Curious, I looked him up, and was intrigued, but read some things about how "radical" he was and kind of dismissed it back then. Return to a gold standard? Seemed so crazy at the time...

Then the Bear Stearns bail out came along. Followed by AIG, and then the big whammy. I couldn't come to grips with this - everyone couldn't stop talking about how these institutions ... Read More

When I selected this book I was hoping for a reasonable, logical, structured argument supporting the prosecution of George W. Bush for murder, as the title suggests! Adding to my hope was that the author is an attorney, a former prosecuting attorney, who, according to the jacket, is highly regarded among his colleagues.

Instead, this book was a hate filled emotion based argument against the policy of George W. Bush and Iraq. It could have been written by the family of any of our soldiers wounded or killed in Iraq. Mr. Bugliosi seems to base his entire argument on the fact that President Bush lied to the public before engaging in the war. While I don't disagree with him, that does not make a case for murder. The President is the commander in chief who, unless there is something I am unaware of, has ... Read More

I bought this book because of several reviews. I was given the impression that it was an honest and objective book on the times, I was greatly disappointed. This is someone from a very large family or there's only a handful of people writing reviews under many different names, most of which are just plain bunk. In any case the book is anything but objective. But I did find the proper place for it, the city dump!

7.The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism by: Naomi Klein

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
: The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism
Klein caters to her socialist audience with this work of astonishingly blatant distortions and falsehoods, knowing that it will sell to the true believers and that she'll get away with it. But don't look here for real scholarship. Her straw-man case against Friedman and free-markets it so blatantly distorted and fabricated that any gems of truth are lost in the mire.

Read the other one-star reviews for some details, and for a more thorough analysis read Johan Norberg's review in the October 2008 issue of Reason magazine, which shows how thoroughly Klein actually gets Friedman's position, and many facts about economics, exactly backward across the board. To accomplish that requires more than error, it indicates a deliberate attempt to deceive.

A disapointing book. Instead of explaining how this totally new type of international political party - because that is precisely what the Bilderberg and the Trilateral Commission are - came into being, and what are its policies, how are they implemented throughout the world, the author offers a sequence of very unconvincing and very low quality spy stories that look like pure fiction and certainly do not support any of his "arguments". And the rest of the narrative is mostly direct or hidden quotes from elsewhere. OK, the author and his helpers managed to catch a few glimpses and bits of conversations at highly secretive meetings of the leadership of a political party - so what? None of them is any substantial proof of any sophisticated conspiracy; it would be ridiculous to claim that they are. The "top secret" questions and ... Read More

D.R. Griffin's second book on the 9/11 massacre is a terribly skilled comment on his first version, with some rectifications and some meticulous unraveling of controversial statements, timings and physical processes.
His overall picture stands more firmly than ever `that every dimension of the official account is false beyond reasonable doubt.' Hereafter, a few crucial points:

- the free vertical fall of the 3 WTC towers (of which one was not hit by a plane) makes a rather cynical joke of the NIST report. Controlled demolition is the only plausible explanation.
- the official version of the fact that the airplanes could not be scrambled doesn't stand a close examination of all the timings involved. A stand down order explains everything.
- the Pentagon could not have been hit by a plane, unless ... Read More

Very good, thorough, thoughtful analysis - not a wild-eyed conspiracty theorist, he's a respectable professor. I wish average people could/would read books such as this, but it's really not possible if you have the sound-bit mental capacity of a flea with ADD. Too bad. We might not have gotten into this mess. But the Karl Roves have had this figured out for a long time -- make the people too stupid to think independently or care - works like a charm (if you're of the Goebbels or Cheney or Machiavelli persuasion).
