I have tried several pedometers over the last couple of years. I found this one to be easy to program and use. The numbers are big enough it can be read easily without my glasses. I have tested against other machines to see the accuracy of my numbers and found it to be right on the mark. I loved it so much I have bought one for my walking partner!

This is a super pedometer! Easy read, stores lots of info, and software to store it away on. Provides monthly chart to preserve what I do or don't do so far as walking goals in an easily accessed and colorful way. I'm on my second. Only complaint is the safety clip which attaches to pocket or waistband was fragile on the first and broke which meant it was constantly falling to the ground. Pedometer survived the falls and still works fine but I was concerned I'd lose it so ordered another. Great investment if you're interested in keeping records of your progress.

Note: I obtained this book used and so received the book only, not the included pedomter.

I was interested in The Step Diet because after purchasing a pedometer (not the one that came with this book), I was looking for some simple, easy strategies to increase my daily step totals. I should preface my comments by saying that I am not exactly the book's intended target audience: I am not trying to lose weight, and I already exercise daily. However, when I am NOT exercising, I am fairly sedentary, which is why I acquired a pedometer, and I hoped that this book would help me take further steps (excuse the pun!) towards being more active.

As other reviewers have suggested, this book takes the same two-step approach to weight loss with which we are all familiar: exercise more and ... Read More

Great product. The cheapy ones are not for anyone serious. This device is easy to use and keeps a daily record. The clip works well on anything I wear.

I HIGHLY recommend this book for walkers who need a boost in information about ways to structure walking habits. This book helped / gave me ideas so I could create my own structured walking plan/program.
Since I aquired this wonderful book I am up to 10 miles a day of serious aerobic walking.

This leash is great, it's a replacement for the leash that came with my Omron pedometer that broke on me because the clip was cheap plastic. The clip on this one is metal so it's much sturdier. In addition, it has a plastic quick disconnect near the top so you can take off the pedometer and leave the clip end attached to your clothing. For the cheap price, it's well worth it.

I am a huge fan of fitness books and have begun looking for decent books on walking. Unfortunately, most of them are rather cheesy in my opinion. I really wanted a book that was not boring and would encourage me to continue (progress) my own walking program. This book is exactly what I was looking for!

Stephanie Oakes is a busy mother of two as well as a fitness and health expert. Like me, she has a hectic schedule, which often leaves little time for exercise. Oakes has designed a very sound and easy to follow exercise program that anyone can do, regardless of health or time constraints. This simple four month program has many different walking routines - spread out in such a way that you are not doing the same old same old, day after day. You can even customize the program based on your fitness ... Read More

I have lost approximately 70 lbs. in the last 4 months... I'd have an exact figure if only I had not put off purchasing this scale until 2 and a half months ago!

This is the best scale I've ever utilized and provides me daily input as to the reality of my momentum! Prior to this scale I never listened to scales as I started off as a 300 lb. large framed male, my weight could fluctuate as much as 12 lbs. in a day and 3 of the 5 reputable weight charts out there have my end weight falling below my actual lean body mass as I am large framed and am putting on considerable muscle. I'd weigh myself but pay more attention to how I fit into clothing as a motivator.

This scale tells me everyday exactly where I am and where I'm going! Each morning I hop on and log my weight, BF%, SM% and BMI in an ... Read More

This monitor provided poor results. I compared it to readings at home with an Omron wrist monitor (ModelRX2). It typically reads 20-25 units higher than the wrist monitor for both systolic and diastolic. The wrist monitor has been reasonably consistent and agrees well with my readings at the doctor's office, and another wrist monitor (HEM-608). I took this monitor to the doctor's office as well, and it was 30 units higher than the nurse's and doctor's measurements. My doctor recommended I not use it. He was more pleased with my wrist monitor. As such I have returned the HEM-90IT and am using the wrist monitor since I have much more confidence in it. I bought this unit for its computer record keeping, but its not worth it if I have little confidence in the numbers.
