Joel Rosenberg is my kind of writer. I love political intrigue and he seems to be an expert in this genre. He certainly understands the mindset of the middle Eastern terrorist and the events he writes about have an uncanny way of actually happening later on. Scary at times!

This book is almost unreal it's so real! The events Mr. Rosenberg writes about actually seem to come true shortly after he writes about them. It's hard to put down the book once you start reading.

All of these novels should be required reading in high schools or before you go vote. These are great political thrillers. With some very great twist and on the edge of your seat moments. His predictions were right on with some incidents that actually came true after he wrote these books. What great insight! All of his series are a must read, must hear cds, but a must.

As far as thrillers go this was very good. The characters were deep and enthralling, keeping your interest all the way through. There was enough suspense to keep you turning the pages, and plenty of action. If you enjoy Lee Child`s Jack Reacher books then this will please you. I`m a series fan and enjoy Child and Michael Connelly books immensely, if you like that kind of thriller read the `Soft Target` books by Conrad Jones. They are unputdownable!! Back to the review, ten out of ten.

First of all let me tell you that this plot is not new. The movie "Wag the Dog" starring Dustin Hoffman has a fake war too. The story is well written and fast paced so you'll have a good time reading it but it also has some blunders. Spoiler: If you haven't read the book don't read this: The plot is a little far-fetched because I really don't think that Russia or China will start a war just for hearing some scuttlebutt and not checking the truth of it. I think that part is utterly false and wrong not to mention that everybody will use the same dealer to buy war-ware.

I absolutely loved this book. The way the book ended was unexpected, because of the way the story drew you in. Until you read the book that might not make sence. But I highly recomend you read it to see for yourselves. The book really draws out your emotions, I felt joy to the point of laughing out loud and sadness to the point of tears. The tragedy was a hard one to swallow. Because of the emotions something like this invokes you really get the idea as to how God our Father really loves us.

The CDs skipped throughout all three books. I would have sent them back but had thrown away the packaging and didn't know how to send the back. I don't feel I got my money's worth. I don't know if the CDs are tested or not but they should be. It is a shame that so many of the disks were damaged. I liked the stories however, there are so many characters in the books that it is hard to keep track of everyone. I enjoyed what I could hear and understand.
