Leman does it again. This book tells it like it is and gives us a great alternative to whatever it is we are doing that is not working! I could have done with a few less sports analogies, but overall this is a great, quick read with some very effective techniques.

I bought Manners Can Be Fun for my 2 year old granddaughter. She is too young to understand a lot of it but is enthralled with the pictures. Reading this book to her reminds me that I should always, always teach with actions rather than words because little eyes are watching and a slip in manners, even at home, will have an impact.

Finally a book that answers all the questions everyone has been asking about sex. He is blunt and up front. Kevin Leman is awesome and you will learn everything you ever need to know about sex and were too embarrased to ask.

I read this book 8 years ago when we found out we were going to have a daughter. Now with two daughters, what I learned in this book continues to give me guidance as I raise my girls. I think it is so helpful, that I buy a copy for any friends or family who find out they are having a baby girl. The author is a Christian and makes reference to Biblical principles, but it's not too overpowering for non-Christians and the principles are good no matter your religion.

Kevin Leman is an excellent author and this book is proof of that. It helps you make so much sense of not just yourself but all those around you. Also, there were many concepts he shared that I had never even thought of in birth order. Overall, it is a great book and I highly recommend it!

The ideas are great, but the pictures and text did not hold my children's attention (ages 3,4 &7). My children love books and enjoy almost everything we read, but they did not even want to finish this one. I bought it because it was recommended by John Rosemond, but I was disappointed in it.

Excellent read! Written in a humorous vein, very entertaining. I learned a great deal about this species of men and it's been quite helpful in dealing with my own.

OK, I bought and read ScreamFree Parenting and have to say I was unimpressed. He really does not give you any "action oriented" parenting advice and I could probably boil the book down to a few bullet points: 1. Work on keeping yourself calm in the face of children melting down. 2. Give them latitude to be themselves, learn privacy, and make better choices (read very much like free-spirit parenting of the 60's, including suggestions that you allow your teenage daughter to have boys in her room with the door closed, because you trust her and respect her privacy -- yeah, right). 3. Force children to suffer consequences for their decisions, even if it's difficult for you, as the parent, to follow through with those consequences. I can't say I would recommend this to anyone ...
