This book probably has just about anything anyone would want to know about Vista. It's big and thick and I assume that, because it's published by Microsoft, it's accurate. But because it's published by Microsoft, it's biased; you'd never find anything critical of Microsoft in the book, which only advises the use of a non-Microsoft software alternative if it's a situation that the Microsoft product just absolutely cannot handle. In general, the attitude of the book is that Microsoft software has no flaws; if you can live with that, you will find the book useful because (shorn of the cheerleading) it's the most complete reference on Vista you can find.

this book is another great help when tackling trouble or using it to use windows vista's full potential. it has more information to find what you want faster than going to Microsoft web pages.It also comes with a dvd which makes looking up information a lot easier.Well worth the price.I keep this close to my computer.

Windows Vista "the missing link" is too technical for me. It assumes the reader has complete mastery of Windows XP which I dont have, so I am not using the book much. I needed more of a cookbook!

Well written, has step by step training and I would recommend it for all beg & intermedate users. It does not cover things like how to put a file path in the footer by using quick parts (a tab on the footer screen), if you like short cuts or know how to do a task other than a menu, this book is weak. I like to customize things and like to ALWAYS have a backup way of doing things, which is the way of Microsoft Products. Do your research, but when in doubt, this book is a safe bet.

The software was quite an improvement over the previous version I had. The Amazon process for purchase and delivery went smooth. They delivered ahead of schedule. The only flaw was that 3 weeks later they dropped the price almost $20. Who knew?! I would have waited! Oh well!!

The product has very basic information. I purchased the book to find out how to do many things within Office Outlook and the information was simply not there. I was looking to learn how to manage and update my "Archive Folder" it didn't have the information available. Disappointing based upon the cost.

In many ways this is a good book. I just don't feel that it's a good "learning" book. For a person wanting to learn Excel 2007, this book's biggest flaw is the lack of hands-on exercises. It does include some step-by-step examples, but they assume that the data already exists. This would have been okay had a CD been included, or the files were available on the Que site, but neither seemed to be the case. Therefore, I didn't find them terribly useful. I would recommend that new Excel 2007 users look elsewhere. However, those making the transition from Excel 2003 might find this a fairly decent text. No half stars so I'm stuck at 3 instead of 3 1/2...

Like all Microsoft Office Suites, great software combination but always can use a bit of work.

Great book. A bit on the technical side, but an excellent learning and reference tool.
