The book is great for issues with Quickbooks. However, after ordering this I realized that it is truly just for issues with QB, not issues you have because you don't understand QB. Great book for what it's intended for!

If you are setting up an LLC there is alot missing in this book that you will need. For example in the payroll section there is no real informaton on how to deal with members and their salaries and how that should be tracked. This is a very common situation that newbie business owners will have to deal with and I figured a "Dummies" book would have had a step by step instructions on how to do just that. Also the book was real chatty. The author spending lots and lots of paragraphs talking to you like you were his buddy over a beer. Most of those paragraphs were wasted ink and paper.

I was forced to upgrade to 2008 or I would no longer be able to get payroll updates or email invoices. Despite paying each year for a payroll subscription on top of paying for the 2008 upgrade I did not need or want, I can not email invoices, can only print sometimes, and the payroll function malfunctioned and paid all of my employees their gross earnings without taking out any taxes. Was unable to get any support. They wanted to charge me to talk to someone even though it was their own product that was broken. I have lost thousands of dollars in unbillable time spent cleaning up their mess and now have to find another way to send my invoices. THIS COMPANY DESERVES TO GO BANKRUPT - THEY SUCK IN EVERY WAY.

I wish I had reviewed this manual before I installed Quicken. Especially helpful during the "set up" phase, and very clear on how to work with loan and credit card accounts.The book does not require that you thnk like an accountant. If you have decided Quicken is for you, then this book is essential.
