I liked how the alliance between the werewolves and vampires came to fruition, but I still find the love triangle between Bella, Edward, and Jacob had to believe! Either way the best part of the book was about the legend of the spirit warriors, maybe Stephenie should take her time and write a quality book about the werewolves and try to be a bit more conscientious of writing strong female characters.

As I had read Meyer's Twilight Saga, I wanted to read her first novel for adults to see how different it was to her other three novels. Also the plot of The Host seemed to be very exciting and unusual. To me, the novel, however, turned out to be very boring. When I read Twilight, I was truly fascinated by the story and the easy read, so that of course I also read New Moon and Eclipse. But already New Moon showed that Meyer was trying to change her writing style from a simple one to a more sophisticated language style, which unfortunately did not work out. I really liked it. Maybe it was because I read all 4 books back to back at once and there was no anticipation of waiting.

OOOOHHHHH MY GOSH !!! This is a GREAT READ!! The series is AWESOME!! I could hardly put any one of these books down. I recommend them HIGHLY!-I also would not say that this is a" teeny bopper" book, adults will enjoy all 4 books. Buy them, you' ll miss sleep but you'll love it!!

Brainstorms I read the entire Twilight series after fans kept telling me that my song "Edward" reminded them of the book(s). I think "Twilight" is a fun, subtly sexy read. And Edward is indeed a lovable character! If you agree, you might enjoy my song too, so hopefully you'll check it out ;o)

I'm a 41 yr old woman, who cut her teeth on Anne Rice. Upon opening page one of this book at the bookstore, it grabbed me. I immediately liked Zoey and wanted to know more about her. The writing style was friendly and spoke comfortabley TO the reader. Reminded me of Richard Peck's writing style from some of his teen mystery novels (my favorite as a teen). It's a light read yet draws you into a different world of Vampyres than the normal fare. Love the Night School concept as well. I DO wish there was a picture of Zoey's forehead tattoo/Mark, though. It sounds so exotic! So, I had to get this book and Twilight. Both are really good so far. I'll update once I finish, but I'm sure I'll be getting the sequels to both books!

PANTS ON FIRE by Meg Cabot is a great book that reveals the inside secrets and lies of an everyday teenager in high school. Katie Ellison a sixteen year old is the most popular girl in her school. She is smart, beautiful and is dating the schools hottest football player. Katie is mistaken for being a caring person and wanting to be a Quahog Princess when she really doesn't want anything to do with it. Tommy Sullivan a boy she used to hang out with is back in town and is out to get her. She goes behind her boyfriends back with another guy. She also claims that she never knew or talked to Tommy Sullivan about anything, but she was there when he did the spray painting to the school. This book starts up immediately where "Marked" left off: Zoey is settling into life as a vampire fledgling, surrounded by her newfound friends at the House of Night. She has proven herself a worthwhile student in the goddess, Nyx's, eyes and has been marked with a unique design across her forehead - something that has never been done to anyone - vampire or fledgling. Not only does Zoey have to take the responsibility as the leader of the Dark Daughters - she has a blooming relationship with Erik Night evolving, an imprint with her ex-human boyfriend - not to mention teens around town are being killed which all signs point to the vampirs and the House of Night as the culprits. It's easy to get caught up in Zoey's world; I really enjoy this series and look forward to the others!

Being a huge fan of the Twilight series, I wasn't sure I would like this book. It's an okay read. The only redeeming quality is the presence of Schuyler. If it wasn't for her character I wouldn't have been able to stand all the high society snootiness and the superficial teens who consume mass quantities of designer clothing. It was an interesting read, overall. I didn't feel like it was a complete waste of time.
