I really enjoy these kinds of books that involve the military, mixed with Christianity and even some romance. A great book and a great series. I will be reading this again.

This book is almost unreal it's so real! The events Mr. Rosenberg writes about actually seem to come true shortly after he writes about them. It's hard to put down the book once you start reading.

Joel Rosenberg is my kind of writer. I love political intrigue and he seems to be an expert in this genre. He certainly understands the mindset of the middle Eastern terrorist and the events he writes about have an uncanny way of actually happening later on. Scary at times!

All of these novels should be required reading in high schools or before you go vote. These are great political thrillers. With some very great twist and on the edge of your seat moments. His predictions were right on with some incidents that actually came true after he wrote these books. What great insight! All of his series are a must read, must hear cds, but a must.

This was the first book in a long time where I actually put off reading too fast it because I didn't want it to end. I loved this book from start to "finish". I say "finish" because I keep hearing that this is the last book in the series but I hope it isn't. Joel did leave the ending open in the spirit of `The Lady or the Tiger'. This book had the classic storytelling of Joel written all over it. The pace is non-stop, the destruction is great and brutal, the enemies are satanically evil, and the "point-of-no-return" world changing events are jaw dropping! This was a magnificent "ending" to a MAGNIFICENT SERIES!! I was wary about reading it because I didn't want to be hit in the face with "Jesus said this" and "Jesus said that" but Joel didn't do that. Thank God for good men like Oliver North. I wish we could have more men in power with his faith and his understanding of our military's capabilities and purpose. I am also very thankful for the work being done in Iraq and Afganistan. It is not a finished work nor a perfect work, but it is certainly not a flawed effort as our news outlets lead us to believe. Brining our troops home before they feel they are finished is not "supporting our troups." We need to let the military decide when it is time to come home and stop letting our brilliant politcians and reporters use their deployment as a political leveraging issue. Colonel North is a great story teller. The way he weaves together the stories of the Marines, Soldiers and Airmen in Operation Iraqi Freedom makes for riveting reading. North does an outstanding job providing a cohesive picture of the military operation by weaving together individual stories---action-packed stories---of the men and women that served in this conflict. The Colonel does an excellent job of creating narrative tension. I found myself reading well into the night.
