21.Fable II from: Microsoft

Video Games : Fable II

I heard a lot of hype about this game and I read a lot of reviews and finally got convinced.

It's hard to decide where to start with this game. In fact I completely scratched my first review and started over again.

I'll try reverting to the standard "pros and cons" system:

Pros:

Graphics are decent, things are easy to find, enemies are easily identifiable by red highlights when they first appear - you don't often get snuck up on except when being shot at by enemies off-screen.

There's a lot to do in Fable II. Lots of places to go, lots of people to see, lots of quests to go after, lots of stuff to buy/own/find/steal... It's a game that keeps you entertained simply by bombarding you with content and options. That alone justifies ... Read More

I bought the first resistance because it was a cheaper fps game. It was cool for a while and then it became repetitive with the same weapons and killing style. I just recently tried out the 2nd one and within the first 5 mins of the game there is a glitch. When you follow the comander guy onto the bridge he says "uh oh here they come you better take cover," i killed all of the aliens before they reached us and the commander just stood behind cover waiting for the aliens to follow, and then the game would not allow me to continue on. The fact that the aliens never reached us would not allow the game to continue, how stupid. This was within the first 5 mins. I turned it off imediately. I only gave this game a very deserving 2 stars, one for the courage of the developers to produce a second game, and ... Read More

23.World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Collector's Edition from: Blizzard
November 13, 2008
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
Video Games : World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Collector's Edition
The extra doodads that come with the Collector's Edition are nice, but a month from now, will you really still want that Frostwyrm in-game pet, or that mousepad? Will you actually read the strategy guide after day one? I flipped through the original and TBC guides that came with the World of Warcraft Battlechest, and they helped me learn the basics of the game, but there's nothing in there that benefits my everyday gameplay; the Internet offers more comprehensive information, more quickly, than the books.

If you want a few new toys and a stylish box, buy the Collector's Edition. If you just want to play the game, buy the regular edition. If you're new to World of Warcraft, don't bother with Wrath of the Lich King just yet. Get the Battlechest (includes the original game, The Burning Crusade expansion ... Read More

This is one of the best brain games. It gets harder and harder the longer you play and the younger your brain age gets. I especially love the piano play along.

I hate to say I started out as an 80 yr old YIKES. Now after a week I test at 47yr old. And the tests are harder than at the start so you really can see you make progress. There is a little racing man that you have to track with your eyes and tell what place he comes in and others pass him and he passes them. I do terrible at that but it is a good eye training test.

At 52 I realized I needed to do more to keep my mind active and doing these games is a great way to do that and have fun at the same time.

I highly recommend the Nintendo DS and all the brain games.

If she'd stop patting herself on the back for a minute, she would have reviewed this game before it got to the shelves. The "encouragment" stuff she says while you're working out is terrible. Someone should have clued her into the fact that she was constantly boasting about herself instead of saying "good job", "keep up the good work" etc. to the person WORKING OUT. At least the wii fit does a better job of that.
And I won't even BEGIN with the non-responsiveness of the controls to the game. If I get hit in the forest with one more flying object as I'm laying down on the ground (with my husband laughing) I'll sell this game back to Game Stop. For the price, it really should have been better quality.
