The Haunting of Castle Malloy is another well thought out programmed PC Game! I have never been disappointed with any of the Nancy Drew Series and this one is no exception. Again it educates in a most poignant way about the area or location of the world you are at. I literally had to search the internet to learn how to play and score in darts! And now I know how to play darts. I became quite the "Mixer" when I had to serve at the Irish Pub. Some parts are a wee bit tricky lass, like once you program the jet pack. If you are not in the location the game somehow needs you to be at you will explode and die but come back to life often.lol Also when you are jet packing about I thought I could fly up into the heavens...not so I lost fuel and had to be given another chance. Look I am an adult ... Read More

Video Games : Guitar Hero World Tour - Band Kit
I was very excited to receive this game as a gift. I had never played Rockband, so this would be my first experience with the drum and the microphone for a gaming system. I really enjoyed Guitar Hero - III: Legends of Rock so I thought that this would be great. Unfortunately, due to problems with the hardware, it did not meet expectations. The songs are great and would be so much fun to play if the hardware worked.

First, the drums started having problems. I ordered the MIDI-USB kit from activision to try to fix it, and it didn't really do the trick. Then I noticed that I was having problems with the guitar. It would register extra strums or sometimes not work at all. I found that I was able to strum up, but not down (which is a major problem).

Therefore, I had to return ... Read More

Ok all the hype has died down. How good is this game for real?

Well for starters, its fun but it takes a while to get to that point. The story line is fantastic. Who doesn't like Niko Bellic? The visuals are good and there are tons and tons of laughs, big ones, all throughout the game. Rockstar has gone to lengths to immerse you into a real living city. From the new radio stations and good weather effects, to the seemingly endless parade of street characters, GTA 4 has a true unique feeling. But its not without some clear faults.

GTA 4 takes awhile to get rolling. The first chunk of the game is slooooow going. The early pieces of the game are really a snooze, many times feeling like a SIMS rehash until you can start doing some real damage with larger crime. I would have hoped ... Read More

The Littlest Pet Shop game trilogy for the Nintendo DS are all fairly similiar. They likely have "exclusive" pets to each system or whatnot, but all three levels - garden, jungle and winter - are unlockable in every version. So you really only need the one. The pet plaza is where you will be spending most of your time, as it is the central hub for buying tickets for pets to come join your menagerie, buying playsets to unlock more mini games and other activities.

Graphics are sweet, cute and fitting for the Littlest Pet Shop. The characters look like pet shop animals which is a real plus for fans of the franchise. Most of the action takes place in the "worlds" which are nice looking but a bit busy. Its sometimes hard to pick out certain interactive objects from the busy backgrounds (such as the sign that ... What makes this a great game is the multiplayer aspect. This game is not designed to appeal to strict single player style. Although the game does not have loads of content, the replay value for the game is really outstanding.

The content in the game is detailed and well polished. Each character has around 1000 voice recordings of good voice acting that helps also. The messages left by other survivors are also a nice touch. There isn't a lot of fluff and filler. I have played through the entire game with friends and it was relatively short lived (6.5 hours), but incredibly fun.

There is no crazy DRM that limits how many times you can install the game, and steam provides good support with the product so far. The demo alone had about 4 or 5 patches in the first week that were automatically ... Read More

I got this for my 6 year old Diego and Dora fan. She beat it in 2 hours; a grueling two hours for me because it is extremely repetitive. Players are not expected to read, count, or do any problem solving of any kind. For a safari game, it is also mysteriously lacking of any relevant information about the African safari or it's wildlife.

By far the most disappointing aspect of this is the concept. You must save the elephants that have been turned to stone by a mean magician. How does this teach our kids about responsibility, being wards of the earth, and protecting our wildlife? It was a lost opportunity to teach kids about pollution, hunting, overdevelopment, etc - as the reason why elephants need to be saved, and to take responsibility for the damage as human beings.

The only pro to this game is the encouragement ... Read More

This is the most fun I have ever had playing a video game. The graphics are fantastically detailed--genius. The zombies and various "monsters" give you a heart pounding thrill. Good story line too. I found the controls very easy to master.
I have played through this game a couple of times already. The second time around was just as exciting at the first time (although easier because you get to keep your weapons.) I am playing on the "pro" level now which is only slightly more difficult in spots.
RE4 is not only a masterfully brilliant FPS, but tons of fun to play.

I'll be honest: I liked Game Party 1, even though the controls were awful (Ping Cup was completely unplayable and Darts was frustrating at best). I liked the variety of games which were perfect choices for a motion-controled console, but it just wasn't developed well and wasn't my top choice for parties.

Enter Game Party 2. I felt a bit silly buying a game that I already had the majority of (GP2 contains all of the games from GP1 plus some extras) but I read a preliminary review from a gaming website and decided to give it a try. The controls are greatly improved. Still not perfect, but at least I feel like where I aim is where I'm (generally) going to land. Aim in GP1, and you'll probably hit somewhere else entirely.

GP1 had many, many pages of characters to choose from. GP2 doesn't have as much of a variety, ... Read More
