Like others have said, great game, but way too short. The graphics are very nice, a few of the puzzles stumped me for a bit, but I completed the game in under two hours, and for the price being asked by most places, I'd say it's not really worth buying. If you can borrow it from someone who has it already, or find it cheaper or used somewhere, I'd suggest that.

When first released, some reviewers compared this game to the old LucasArts Monkey Island series. Unfortunately it is not even close. Technically, the game was fine. The interfaces worked pretty well for the most part. The graphics were good, and the puzzles were reasonable. However, good adventure games not only have good puzzles, but they also bring a story and characters that are interesting. For example, the old Monkey Island games had hilarious dialogue and great characters, in addition to the interesting puzzles. This one feels flat. And there is lots of dialogue which I feel like I have to wade through just to get it over with. I didn't bother to finish the game.

I have two computers and tried to install the game on each for my children. But the game contained errors and I couldn't get the game to run on EITHER of computers.

My kids were so disappointed.

Video Games : Punisher
Finally, after abysmal attempts on the Sega Genesis and the Nintendo Entertainment System, THQ stepped up to the plate and cracked a home run with their 2005 incarnation of our favorite anti-hero, Frank Castle...a.k.a. The Punisher.

Thankfully, this game is not an origin story - The Punisher is already an established icon, taking out New York City trash in body bags. When the War Journal begins, we realize that this will be more than just your standard shoot 'em up.

The Punisher's business is killing: and tonight, there's going to be a fire sale.

The controls for the game are surprisingly simple. The shooting controls are (no big surprise here) the L1 and R1 'trigger' buttons. The weapons will automatically reload until they're empty, but there's rarely a shortage ... Read More

Seriously, when did this become player's choice? Let me tell you my story.

I was interesting in buying finding nemo, but figured it would be like watching the movie, so I was not so sure. But we bought it, and I played it. About 5 minutes into the game, it starting loading. I figured it was only going to last 5 seconds like other games I have played. WRONG. I must've stared at nemo for 5 straight minutes! All he did was move around! Since it was nighttime, I got tired and just fell asleep. I went back to toys 'r us and told him it might be the disc, but this started happening as soon as I got it. But he told me I probably scratched it somehow, So he gave me a new one. But when I came home, the same crud happened again! 2 whole minutes staring at nemo swim...slowly...but surely...onto yet another ... Read More

Video Games : Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
This game is really fun and challenging. You can skip cutscenes now (that's a big improvement. Now I don't have to watch any more 10 minute cutscenes!), and it's always fun to play Quidditch (The best part is kicking the other seeker). I am stuck at Aragog because whenever he runs up to Harry, all you can see in the screen is Aragog and for some reason it freaks me out and I have to put the game on pause. Also, this game always freezes on my computer which is really annoying, because I will be at a really important part and the game will randomly freeze.

This is no doubt a five star game. An engrossing (but not super original) story will draw you in the game and force you to come back to it day after day. It may be shortish but who cares what is important is the quality of the narration and the crisp graphics. Finally some puzzles that make sense. I hope we will see more like this. For once well done House of Tales

When I was a kid one of my favorite games was Wing Commander: Privateer. It was the best of the Wing Commander series and I played it several times over until it no longer worked on whatever computer I owned, but I haven't been able to find a game since to replace it. Until now.

Freelancer it a great space adventure game without all the muck of being a flight simulator, which I am not very fond of. The only reason I didn't give the game five stars is because it has some long cut scenes of you attacking bases on foot, but doesn't actually let you go into FPS mode to fight the bad guys yourself.

That aside, I love this game.
