Another day, another mystery for Nancy Drew. In this one, Nancy is leaving the US to visit England and an old friend, Linda who has recently married. Linda is refusing to leave her room for some mysterious reason, and Nancy is there to find out why. You meet several very interesting characters: Ethel, who is Jane's tutor, Jane who is Linda's stepdaughter, and Nigel, an historian who is working on a book about the manor, and Mrs Drake, who lives at the manor and is Jane's Great-Aunt.

This game was very interesting to play, it involved many different puzzles, and adventures to go on. At times I found it very hard to work it all out, but sooner or later you can figure it out! This is one of the scarier games, and therefore I would advise parents to play it with their children, especially ... Read More

Let me start off with the good things:
-the graphics are phenomenal
-you can choose your character
Now, the bad things:
-unlike the other HP games, you CANNOT wander around the Hogwarts grounds, which I enjoyed.
-The mouse has NO action whatsoever, not even in the main menu!
-I get stuck on so many levels, because most controls are NOT EXPLAINED! Not even in the manual!
-your "friends" (whoever you're not playing with) are so slow in following you and are almost always occupied with sneezing or wandering around when you need help so badly!
-I tried to install this game for one full year and never got it to install until I did some tricky things

Overall, I would have rated this game five stars if the bad things were fixed.
I think that ... Read More

Everything good has already been said, I can only 'agree' with all those
that really liked the game.

Truth is a freind bought this when it first came out. Stranger is that we
both went after shooters. Needless to say he booted it up, I spent a whole
5 minutes watching it & right then I found something that took me a bit
away from those FPS's without kicking, biting and fighting.

It was an immersive type thing & it just clicked. Anyhow, you wonder why
all these many years later I have the game (again). The price. What a
steal. Many games go that $5 to $10 repack route. And it seems a great
many of those come with new glitches with the newer OS's.

This is not one of those glitchy items. A plus in itself, but the story, ... Read More

Thief 3 is the only game I've completed so far. I'm sure the previous two are good in light of their times. If you like stealth based games that are very streamlined and very simple in their gameplay, this is for you.

The ambiance throughout the game is fantastic, shalebridge cradle is particularly intense.

The gameplay is fairly boring. It works in a rock-paper-scissors type of way with the equipment, and there's not much room for innovation.

Don't be fooled by the open city bit, it's very much closed. While there are two paths to any one destination, there are only two paths.

Overall I give this game three stars, one for ambiance, one for comedy, and one for some pretty hilarious voice acting.

It loses a half for being repetitive, a half for being ... Read More

My husband and I have been playing this game hardcore for over two years and were still going strong. Ive read a lot of the feedback and i am truly amazed at all the bad reviews. The graphics in this game the best on the web so far. Games like WO, although fun to play (ive tried it), seem to cartoonish for me. Lineage 2 is filled with beautiful graphics and worlds that keep you visualy stunned for years. The game play is wonderful as well. Like all other online games there are botters and people who insist on being rude, but thats just a small part of the life of an online role playing game. There are also wonderful friends to be made and a world of information to learn and explore. The grind is tough at higher lvls and takes patience, but the friends you make and the skills you earn are well worht the uphill climb. ... Read More

I still remember when I first bought this game in the 90's and I still play
the game from time to time for both entertainment and nostalgia. As with most of the pc games in the 90's there was no type commands but just the point and click with the mouse usually but still the humor and video cut scenes in the game were more than enough to keep you playing until the end. The short story-plot was your character was a civil servant for the spiritual plane where the recently departed had to stop before making their final passage to eternal rest. Your character for whatever reason had to work off a certain amount of time to clear his debt before going to the place of eternal rest as well. The job was you worked to see how well the person who just died was in life meaning the more compassionate, and humane they were ... Read More

This was simply the best stragety sci-fi game ever made. The research, building on planets, customizing ships, and turn based gameplay (and battles) was the most enrapturing system I've ever played. I can't praise this game enough, I still play it over and over today. A gem from the time when computers were still new and awe inspiring for me.

Dark Fall Lights Out is great. It seemed a little slow going at first, but once I found the entrance to the cave I couldn't stop playing.
It really draws you in and you feel as if you truly are alone on a deserted rock!

For ten dollars, what an excellent game! From the same voice-acting as Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened and Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis comes the case of the Silver Earring. Holmes and Watson, as in the two 'later' games are played quite well.

I wouldn't ruin the plot but will say this. Plenty of people die and it is up to Holmes to link Brazil, a pillow, cigarettes, a ball-room function, and a young woman's fortune together. Needless to say when the case is resolved, bravo if you figured out who the real culprits were on your own. I for one needed Holmes to explain it to me, using very small words.

Graphic Wise, the game is decent but the human characters are blocky and move like robots.

Music is limited and the later games were far better at including more period sounds.

Movement ... Read More
