Everyone who said this game is boring is wierd! this is the GREATEST game EVER!!!!!here are the pro's and cons of this game. pros; 1.good multiplayer. 2.a clear path(you know what you have to do unlike Zelda) 3. fighting moves are AWSOME, especaly murtagh's moves(you can be him in two player for half of the game the other half is brom). I have played a lot of other Barbie games and so I got this one since it had some good reviews. I found this game pretty boring and very easy though I think I'm a bit older than the age it is supposed to be geared for. My younger sister who is the right age did not find the game interesting but she has liked other barbie games such as Barbie diaries: High School Mystery, and Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper which are fun games were you can dress up barbie and make her do all the sorts of dress up things most little girls like to do.

We purchased this game a year ago and my girls still love to play it. Lot's of activities, they love to decorate the floats and watch the parade.

...but I found this game to be rather . . . boring. I bought it after reading amazing reviews from Playstation Magazine, IGN, and Game Informer. I just couldn't get into it. The moves seemed repetitive to me. The graphics, even for PS2, were lacking. The gameplay was very weak. I'll play this game for a few hours, put it back on the shelf, and not touch it for 8 months. I'll give it another try, and the same thing will happen. I won't touch it for 8 months. Maybe I'm in the minority on this one. I just regret buying this game. I really wanted to like it. I just didn't.

The opportunity to play alongside somebody else is SO worth every penny you spend on this game. People may have some complaints about it from a RPG perspective or other perpectives but the advantage of playing with my son or daughter has provided years of enjoyment and common experience. 2 Thumbs WAY up!

Yes this game is very easy, but it is a lot of fun. I played this with my son and we finished the game in about 10 hours. The cheat codes make it even easier. Flying the dragon takes some work and we change controllers so I ride and my son flies. I don't think this is for people who take gaming too seriously.

I realize I'm reviewing an old game here and I'm writing this review with 2008 standards. Please keep in mind I am only reviewing the PS2 version (not PC). If you're one of those fans considering to track this old game (on PS2) and spend lots of money on it -- don't bother wasting it. The PS2 version is just really frustrating. Some games still look good on the PS2 even to this day. However, this game just isn't worth tracking down and playing it again, on the PS2. Like most games that are poorly ported onto console, this game is no exception. There are many slowdowns. That is my biggest complaint.
