I bought this for my kids but haven't gotten to use it because I lack the serial number to get it started. I heard it was a great game but I wouldn't know. . .

Video Games : Futurama
After playing Futurama for a few hours, I realized that what I really wanted was just to watch some episodes of the show rather than mess with the game. Which ultimately is the only real purpose of the product reviewed here: enjoying the whacked humor of the TV series. The mechanics of the game itself are brutal platforming dullness, with all the cheap deaths, dull objectives, and idiotic easter egg hunts. Yeah, a lot of the gags are great and the original cast does the voice work, but gosh you can enjoy the same experience just by flipping on Cartoon Network and catching reruns of the show. Only recommended for the hardcore Futurama completist.

This is fun game and it's one that I'm not afraid to play when my little girls are around. In appearance, it is much like a cartoon. It isn't too violent and the language is acceptable for younger viewers/players. There isn't any adult content. This is actually the only game in my collection that my oldest child requests that I play because she likes to watch it and it does follow the book. The hardcore gamers will probably not like it much but even as a hardcore gamer it is a fun change of pace (you know, in between the blood, bullets and boobs).

Video Games : NASCAR Racing 2003 Season
i started playing the nascar game way back in 1993-94 (guessing) and each year the "wow" factor seemed to double if not more. but all things must reach a peak and it looks like this is both the last and best of the series, with a few plus and minus factors. but i was just wondering about a few things i noticed while playing:

one thing that has always bothered me is why i always get 1/2 of a car - the view is either outside the vehicle or only the drivers side interior. why can't they make a version with a full drivers view....?

and, why am i always the only one to crash - always. out of 43 starting vehicles, zero of them ever wreck. it's always me and even when i get bumped, the other car is completely unaffected. i've even rammed #20 car at full speed and *nothing* ... Read More

Video Games : Jurassic Park: Dinosaur Battles
I am 9 years old and I have been playing this game for a few years. The first time I played it, it was quite difficult because I could never get past the protectors through the different lands. The game is really fun. The way to get your dinosaurs to win their battles against the stronger dinosaurs is to get skills from winning battles against weaker dinosaurs and then go to the DNA lab to get stronger. The purpose of the game is to stop an evil scientist from cloning dinosaurs and causing trouble. The way you do this is to first get past the Hatchling Velociraptor which guards you from all of Jurassic Park. Then you travel from land to land, each time getting a new dinosaur to use. The third land is the hardest one because you have to fight Aaron's Triceratops. Finally, when you get past all of the lands, you ... Read More

This was a gift for my grandson. When I learned that he couldn't install it on his three year old PC, I tried on my 3 GHz PC with 2 GB of RAM and kept getting a CD error. Amazon was great about returning it and the replacement installed, although installing the four CDs took about thirty minutes, but then both my grandson and I got the same message when we tried to run it, that we couldn't use it because the graphics card does not support Pixel Shaders or or Vertex Shaders, which I had to look up. A text file on one CD gave a list of supported graphics cards, and it was the same list as another game I had given him from another company and he had successfully installed. Then I gave up. $80 or more for a graphics card that might or might not work, and all this over a $20 game, was just too much. Maybe Amazon would take ... Read More

160.Wipeout Fusion from: Vivendi Universal Games
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
Video Games : Wipeout Fusion
Wipeout Fusion has been hailed as the game that killed the Wipeout franchise. Before Fusion, Wipeout 3 killed the Wipeout franchise. Before 3, there was criticism by the hardcore race gamers of Wipeout XL. If you play each game in order, you see that the series has evolved from a slick, mean physics simulation to an arcade game. For that reason, and not having the Design Republic's neo-deco billboards floating around the tracks, this game got flushed by the fans.

Too bad.

Fusion is loaded with beautiful tracks, with corkscrews, loop-de-loops, jumps, high-dives, you name it. Basically all the best parts of a rollercoaster, only armed with weapons. In league mode, you can make modifications to your vehicle's stats with your winnings- a nice touch if you're fond of a certain craft. And mercifully, ... Read More
