After playing some other Scooby games my daughter (8) and I decided to pick up this one. Unfortunately it was not as good as the previous one we played (Some Egypt location game). This one was more annoying than anything else. She finished it really quickly and basically put it away for good shortly after. The previous game has a high replay value - not so with this one. It might be fun for younger ones though...

This software was published in 1998, written for Windows 3.1. The setup has been slightly modified to install on Windows 95. It forces installation of an old version of QuickTime for Windows 3.1, and will only run at a screen resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. My 15" laptop LCD screen is 1024 x 768 pixels, so this runs only on a 9" diagonal section of the screen. Since it was not written for XP, plan on letting your kindergartener run with admin privileges, as it's the only way this software will run, if you can ever get it to install. It was nice that the publisher took the time to update the box with claims that it's XP-compatible. It would have been nicer if they had actually spent a few hours updating the software so that it actually was XP-compatible.

This is a fun game. I can't believe it has gotten such bad reviews. All you have to do is listen. The characters tell you exactly what to do. I can't believe full-grown adults can't do this game. It's a children's game. It's very simple. It would be nice if it were more different when playing through again. It makes it too easy the second time around. It's a good game to get out every now and then when you have forgotten where things were last time.

Hi, i am strong club chess player, i've defeated FIDE MASTER, in fact, i lead for 3pts, my ELo could be over 2000 USCF. This software, could be helpful just for kids, if i have a child, his first step could be in this sorfware. For a teen player, or club player should buy other software. Believe me will be very dissapointed, if you buy this product. This software could be, around 2300 of USCF ELO, nice for sparing. i won one of three games. I took the star for the poor render, just for that. With the sing of Kasparov, you can imagine that this program is strong, but not. are nice opening lessons, very basics themes, and the engine are not very strong. Buy this just for kid, and they love it. Fritz or other product are to dificult for kids.
