I'm a middle-aged woman who just can't seem to get the hang of the game controllers. I know, so sad and lame--and I'm usually pretty coordinated.
But I LOVED both "Half-life" games--I sit next to my husband and shout at him at while he controls the action. "Half-life", unlike many other gaming titles, has a progressive, linear plot, and requires enough thoughtful strategy that I could actually make worthwhile contributions without a controller! "Portal" is also a fun *team* endeavour.
Can't wait for the next Half-Life!

This expansion pack is pretty good. I almost didn't get it but am glad I did. The only downside is the game kinda implies there are holidays but there aren't. Definately a good buy.

I really like the game, though there needs to be a real sequel. Also need to ditch the squares. They can be used as guidelines, but being able to draw property lines would make it more interesting. Just an idea. I will continue to like this game, but Maxis should get the title back and make a better scalable involvement one for those of us who wouldn't mind micromanaging, but keeping the bigger picture for those who just like watching cities grow.

I got this game on special at my local Brandsmart store for $18.88 back in April 08. Since then I can't stop playing it. I'm currently working on getting my Elite License. The Graphics on a 58" 1080p Plasma are unbelievable. The crash scenes are intense and very realistic. Online play is the fastest I've seen. I have a few PS3 games and Burnout Paradise is the only one which by simply pressing the directional button 2 times you can actually go online and be playing with 8 people in under 30 seconds. It's that fast. Go get the game. PSN has it as a download for $29.99. I prefer a actual BluRay..

Enjoy.

I purchased this game and was really excited to receive it, however when I got the game (brand new) there was a scratch on it that makes the game freeze? This has never happened to me and know Amazon will not believe me that I didn't scratch it my self. Anyway, I did play my friends game and think its awesome and I recommend it to all soccer/FIFA fans! The only thing that bugs me is the commentators sound like a broken record, I wish the game had different commentators instead of the same ones for all the games.

Just be aware this product contains some security software called SecuROM.
The game ran on my system exactly once before the SecuROM software shut it down. The SecuROM software would insist I had loaded a backup or a copy and would not allow the game to run. Ea customer support blamed everything from my video driver to dust on the disk. I still haven't gotten the game to run again. I liked the game very much the one time I got to play it.

I've played the Live series off-and-on since 96', and think that the gameplay just hasn't been the same in the last few years, especially compared to the 2K series.

I have 2k8 and have played 2k9 and they just feel more fluid; the gameplay is faster, the controls are more responsive, and 2k is simply more fun.

The good with NBA Live 09'
- The 365 is awesome. It is great to have constantly updated rosters, the hot and cold streaks, and the ability to play recent game. This is the only thing that I will miss when I dump NBA Live for 2k9;
- The graphics in the game are great, I can't complain; and
- The DNA is a neat twist, though I think it makes the game a little more complicated than I care for personally.

The bad
- Still not even close to 2k9 in terms of gameplay. The ... Read More
