281.SSX Tricky from: Electronic Arts
January 25, 2002
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

>>More Details
Video Games : SSX Tricky
I have played several SSX titles now and this one stands out as the best. Each character is unique, with individual super tricks, smart comments, wild outfits, and snowboard designs (and styles). The control scheme perfectly fits the PS2's controller, the courses are vast and colorful, and once you earn that last gold medal, you will be ready to start right over again with another character. The memory card saves the five best times and five best showoff scores for each course. The disc also contains behind-the-scenes making-of DVD content from EA Big.

Yeah-my computers about a year old (is all) has a Nividea GeForce 6150SE, Nforce 430 and the game wouldn't id it as good enough. So, I rated these in the middle because I haven't played the new Vista version's. I ordered it because of this Vista op system (which suck's)but $170 buck's later a better video card is on it's way. So, for those old timer less techy folk interested in getting this package...check your video card and maybe shoot for a 512mb DDR. The tech said 256mb are obsolete or will be and obviously what I have doesn't work.

283.The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle Earth II: Rise of the Witch King from: Electronic Arts

Video Games : The Lord of the Rings, The Battle for Middle Earth II: Rise of the Witch King
While the witch king does not dramatically change game play, it does add to the original game.

The Angar faction is a wonderful addition. They have added new, much needed, units to the other factions, additional maps, and beefed up the create a hero system. They also added a few heroes to some of the factions, like the Dale hero from the dwarven side.

I heard that the War of the Ring additions are also great, but I haven't had a chance to dig into that.

Overall, this expansion has peaked my interest in playing the game. I mostly play it on skirmish mode with other players. If you like the original, you will definetly like the additions with this expansion.

Great game! Just make sure you have a good enough computer to run the game properly. Sometimes the other neighbors in the apartment like to hang out in the yard or hallways. It'll slow your game down when there are too many people 'hanging around'.

I'm pressed for time but this short review is still better than nothing.

Replayability, graphics, and weapons are great, game is fun and I play it often. The multiplayer/Co-Op is also fun. Some levels are REALLY challenging though. I also like the fact that you get a motorcycle in a few of the levels.

This was an amazing find. If you were to go to Best Buy to purchase each of these games separately, you'd spend around $100. I haven't had time to play these games, but the C&C series has never disappointed me. Likewise, other games from EA are generally good quality games. I don't recommend getting it for the Lord of the Rings game--instead find the two-pack of the Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth 2. You can find this for between $12 to $20 either on Amazon or elsewhere.

290.Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix from: Electronic Arts

Video Games : Harry Potter Order of the Phoenix
I am a huge Harry Potter fan. Read all the books, seen all the movies, played all the games. That said.
This was by far the worst HP game ever. (all the other ones were good just not this one)
In a nutshell the graphics, music and voice acting are all beautifuly done. Amazing even. What sucks about this game is that you spend all of your time cleaning up the castle or else searching for useless stuff. There is no health meter so Harry never has to really fight or worry about being in any danger. There are no big bosses to battle or even little bosses. You spend the majority of your time rehanging portraits, straightening up lopsided suits of armor or fixing broked statues. Essentially, Harry is a janitor. Or if you prefer, custodial engineer. Either way it is a waste of time.
