241.FIFA 08 Soccer from: Electronic Arts

Video Games : FIFA 08 Soccer
FIFA 2008 PC is no different from FIFA 2007, except for the updated players and teams for the 2008 season. The gameplay is actually slightly worse in regards to switching players. The difference in difficulty from amateur to semi-pro is like going from highschool to the MLS!!! Not quite on target...There are some exciting new players to choose from like Lulinha and Bojan, but don't bother buying this if you already have FIFA 2007...I would wait till 2009 is out.

Video Games : Command & Conquer: Generals
"Command and Conquers: Generals" is a extraordinarily fun real-time strategy game that is for the PC.

Pros:
Great Graphics (the graphics are the same as EA's similar title, the Battle for Middle-earth, also a great game, see my review)
Fun Gameplay (the gameplay is well developed and it easy to learn)
Variety of Levels (many different levels with many different units and many different objectives really let this game shine!)
Unique Units (there are various units that are unique to this game and are really fun to command)

Cons:
Too Short (there arn't enough levels in this game)
Sometimes the Levels Can be Tough (occasionally, this game is hard but if you keep at, you can persevere)

I was one of those unfortunates who bought, and struggled, and struggled with the predecessor. This version is light-years ahead. My only concern is that the game is essentially inscrutible without buying the "Game Guide." The instructions enclosed with the game are horribly inadequate.

244.NBA Live 08 from: Electronic Arts

Video Games : NBA Live 08
Major flaw: Collision detection.
For whatever reason, EA has never really gotten the whole collision detection thing with it's NBA Live series. Players tend to slip and slide around each other and there is no real sense that playing defense is even remotely possible. I don't know how many times I've played this game online and watched someone dominate on the inside with a mediocre-at-best big man. It's so frustrating!!

With that being said...if you're looking for a run and gun, fast break basketball game...this is your game! It is fun to just cut loose and see how many points you can score. But if you are partial to fundamental, team basketball...this might be a bit of a disappointment.

FIFA 08 doesn't let you down. It has all the top players in the sport and the graphics are great. If you are a soccer fan and love to play the sport, you'll enjoy the game!

If you're a Godfather fan, this is great. It takes a bit long to get used to the controls, but once you do it's a 'time -eater'. The music is great and the fact that you can make yourself is awesome.

Amazing graphics...better than some of their newer titles. Fast gameplay at breakneck speeds and great car handling. This game is a classic.

If you purchased any NHL game for the PC in the last few years you'll know EA is up to no good when it comes to improving anything.

This year they added Be a Pro and even more simple controls. Now the offensive layout can consist of just three things: Pass, Shoot and Speed Burst. Be a Pro basically you just play as one person through a season and build upon them as you progress.

Everything else seems to be minor improvements. I noticed little to no graphics changes from last years version, just a slightly higher resolution.

To top it off it looks like they got rid of the EA servers for online play. What the !? Not like there were many people online last year, but this is a major blow to the online community. Luckily you can still join other people online by getting their IP ... Read More

250.Harry Potter Collection from: Electronic Arts

Video Games : Harry Potter Collection
I liked playing these games w/ my kids (ages 6 and 7) -- the third one was the best, because (in theory) all three could play -- we didn't have an additional remote or adapter, but I think the boys would have liked it even more then.
We started playing video games together w/ Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, some anime ones, etc... and since my kids know the HP stories pretty well (what?!? They're mature enough! We talked about it -- and still do!)... they liked being a part of it.
A fun one for parents to play with kids, if the parents are like me, from the video game generation. Long live ATARI! ~kidding.. sort of.
